I want to use the same software I was comfy with back in the day, but all the torrents I've found run into one registry error or the other.

Is it just impossible to run it on Windows (worse than millennium edition) 10? Or am I just doing it wrong cause I'm a fucking pleb?

I would try to run in on an older OS. Windows 7, or even XP. Try it on an emulador/virtualizer such as VirtualBox.
