What do you use and what do you think is the best program for retopology? dont say blender because its free- if you think blender is the best state why.

Uh... I use Blender. But that's only because I can't be arsed to try other programs at the moment (just a dumb NEET making dumb shit, so I don't care about "muh indust-reeeeeee")
I think it's pretty solid though. I've been following Zacharias Reinhardt's method for retopology, and I find it really easy.

Haven't explored more automated methods because I just want to learn proper topology for myself first.

Maya's retopology tools are amazing, some of the best I've used.

I use Blender because it has Retopoflow 2

I use sketch-retopo from time to time, it's great but crashes a lot

Because you don't want to deal with an "autodesk representative" and because your options beyond that are limited.

That >>653177 is free too and not related to Autodesk

Also instant meshes and quadriflow

Zremesher because I'm lazy as fuck

I am actually genuinely curious if Zbrush 2018 fixed the dreaded "zremesh" curse. =/

That's some impressive shit. Maybe it's time for me to finally stop being a poly-modeling purist
