I used to work with this french guy in a project for a year or so, he started art at his mid 30s
https://www.artstation.com/wootha
so i wouldnt say youre too late for anything, its all about you finding the passion and dedication for the arts, of course some ppl have a headstart when it comes to that
>>
>>652565
if you really buckle down and study you can get gud enuff in like a year or two. just make sure you learn industry standard programs (maya/max, a solid renderer of your choice, substance package) and find good tutoring, like learn squared or CGMA. try not to waste your time learning blender or something dumb for 2 years
>>
>>652565
>>652591
In addition to what he said, also learning a game engine is a must, most AD´s wont look at you twice if you cant prove you can make game ready assets and you know the pipeline.

I live in a shitty dead town surrounded by other shitty dead towns and I manage to eke out a living cleaning the viruses off of stupid people's PCs, and occasionally setting up offices for small businesses. The only other option is wageslavery. I can't afford to move, so I've been trapped here for 6 years.

Inspite of 3D not having to do with my major, it's a hobby. It also allows me to express my abstract thinking in 3D space better than Photoshop allows for in 2D.

School just never seems to work out for me, I make it up to about 3/4th of the way through the semester with either 100, or high As, teachers love me, class mates love me and ask me for help. But then I just fall apart, stop being social and never go to class again and end up failing.
>>
>>657599
i find the best way to pass is to simply grind example exams none stop. i don't even go through the material
>>
>>657603
The problem is I don't even make it to the exams. I usually bail out right before them and never go back to class. It's fucking weird, I usually end up becoming a complete fucking shutin at the time too, like I just don't want to deal with anyone in the world.

Yes, when there is too much public servant. States needs public servant to administrate the system. IMC there is too much lazy people who are present at work and that's all. I don't count my hours when i'm working. I'm available for my employer approx 59hour/week (calmculated for the last year 52week of work, but i got some holidays), including traveling. I stay late at work, because it's must be working before i'm leaving...

Amen brother. The biggest scam besides religion. I'm sort of chill though, because my mentor is an old, delusional hag who drools when speaking. I'll just hand her my thesis mid 2020 or so and then apply at the nearest super market to stack shelves and do 3D on the side. At least that's my plan.
