Why ii my mesh consists of the body and the hay.

Then when I move the bone of the head, the hat is still in its place?

When I move the armature, everything works fine, exept the hat.

But the hat is the same object as the body!

go to weight paint mode
then push the brush value to '1'
activate face selection for masking
hover with mouse over hat and tap 'L' to select it
then color the damn hat till its fully red

why is the hat part of the mesh in the first place for such a simple character? take it off and parent it to the head bone itself and call it a day

no painting required

Thanks!
