They don't give up don't they.
>>
>>648914
Yeah, I live in terror of the day when the Blender Foundation will finally come after me for pirating their product.
>>
>>648914
You too would want to be paid for your professional services.
>>
>>648914
This is not news, Foundry has been doing this for years.
>>
S-should I uninstall and remove my cracked maya 2018 and switch to blender?
>>
Is that the burzum guy?
>>
>>648920
>S-should I [...] switch to blender?
Yes. The answer is always yes.
>>
>>648920
yes do that, one less competitor on the professional market.
>>
>>648927
Revealing your cards like that is just stupid, Anon.
>>
Either live with the fear of being sued for pirating Autodesk, or be 15 years behind the state of the art, with 99% less job prospects.
>>
>>648943
just wait until 2.8
>>
>>648945
Sure m8, proficiency in Nintendo EEVEEĀ® will land me a-job.
>>
>>648942
You are right, i will be more subtle from now on.
>>
Just block the exe in firewall lmao
>>
>>648920
No, only The Foundry does this. Be careful about touching Nuke, Mari or Modo without a license.
>>
>>649004
Just use two PCs, one completely without internet and use that one with the foundry products
>>
>>649005
or just dont waste your time or money with their software, its not like they offer anything special
>>
>>649358
This is the correct answer
>>
>>649379
Mari is a lot better than substance
>>
>>648994
Doesn't work you idiot.
>>649005
No need to have 2 PCs, 2 systems is enough (dual boot)
>>649358
The fact that you are saying that means you have shit for a brain.
>its not like they offer anything special
yeah, except 2 industry standard tools which have no real competition.
>>649385
They are for different tasks and they complement each other perfectly.

nice. i am stopping to work with foundry software. and i am not even pirating at all. the only shit what i was piriting was 6 years ago for education purpose. i am sick of this bullshit with pirating accusing. some fucking "pirat hunter" company is just milking the situation ruining people and companies playing them against each other.
>>
As far as I know they usually go after companies or individuals who have legally purchased one product and pirate the other. That's how they get your email to send you those cash demands.
Also unless you live in the US or UK I wouldn't be too worried. Let them prosecute me though Interpol because I pirated Modo or something. See how that works out for them.
Hell there are even youtube videos of how to pirate and crack Nuke and other foundry products and they haven't even taken those down .
This whole Foundry Babayaga is just a few stupid users and a lot of propaganda so you would be too scared to pirate their shit
Just take the normal precautions such as installing Tinywall or something and blocking the exes in the windows firewall and you'll be fine
>>
>>649429
>Hell there are even youtube videos of how to pirate and crack Nuke and other foundry products and they haven't even taken those down .
...thats literally bait
>>
>>649430
Oh fuck outta here, no it's not bait. Do you really think foundry would start a lawsuit against a pajeet from some shithole indian city? What would the legal pathway be in order to make an international lawsuit and how much do they stand to benefit from such actions?
This whole Foundry thing is just fear mongering propaganda and I would be surprised if they themselves make up a large portion of those stories
>>
>>649432
its bait and its a honeypot. I wont go anywhere near Foundry products, even on cgp
>>
Gentlemen, if you using, but not paying for licensed software, setup a damn firewall. The Foundry and Autodesk are both very aggressive in pursuing piracy. So much so that there are actual law firms that specialize in defending clients from license audits. Get smart about your network or use Blender/Natron combo.
>>
>>649429
>>649432
Both Autodesk and Foundry won't waste their time trying to get blood from a stone. If they are sending you notices it's because they think you can pay.

Also watch out for resellers they constantly rat people out to Autodesk. Be very careful about what you say around a reseller if you aren't using valid licenses.
>>
>>649458
10/10 blender shillposting.
>>
>>649485
I have pirated Blender for close to ten years and I have never had any problem with its company trying to make me pay for a license. Take that as you will.
>>
>>649488
I have pirated <insert any industry tool> for ten+ years and I have never had any problem with any company trying to make me pay for a license.
>>
>>649489
>pirating blender since 2008
>>
>>649485

Interestingly, Blender doesn't need shills, because it's free. The whole purpose of shills is to get people to spend money on something.
>>
>>649532
Addon market
>>
>>649485
I don't use Blender, I just care about individuals more than corporations like The Foundry and Autodesk that literally go to war with their user base. Look if you don't make money you don't have anything to worry about, it's that simple.
>>
>>649489

Same here except for only a few years. I don't see how they could ever get my email to contact me. I'm behind 7 proxies anyways, so good luck to them! I also use glasswire just in case, I have caught some adobe stuff being sent despite firewall and blocked it
>>
>>648915
This. I still haven't paid for my copy of Blender
>>
>>649537
Every paid addon can be legally distributed for free.
