I made a grown up little red riding hood, she's supposed to be a werewolf hunter.
Which version is better? Anthro or human style?
>>
Human.
>>
Human.
Scrap that "anthro", or somebody might actually support it.
>>
Human, but she gets DICKED by a werewolf and slowly turns anthro
>>
neither are that good
>>
>>647889
How to improve?
>>
make bobs smaller. not too much though.

this looks like some horny indian who likes gigantic tiddies made this.
>>
>>647866
RRH as a werewolf hunter. Yawn, never heard of that one before.

>>647888
This though

>>647894
And this.

If you're hunting dangerous game like werewolves, why would you have gigantic titties swinging about?
>>
Boobs are too big. Either make them smaller or commit and push them way up.
>>
Pretty much what all the other anons have already said. Human, boobs too big.
>muh low-poly meme
Can't even pull that off right. Topology looks like shit. What the hell's going on with your model anyway? Why does she have such a pronounced paunch? Is she wearing some corset for her ribs? And the hair shouldn't be clipping through the hood.
Give your shit more polygons. Once you have a good smooth shape going, then maybe you can think about making it all low-poly.
>>
>>647948
>muh low-poly hate

I think besides the retarded boobs the model looks pretty good. Crazy what you can do with so few polys, though it does look difficult to animate.
>>
>>647951
It's not that, it's that this is poor execution of low-poly. Topology is haphazard and inconsistent, you can see it happen around the tits and especially on the face.
Eh, it's not like I'm going to be taken seriously anyway. This is the same shit as the whole stylisation meme, where you gotta have good grasp on shape and topology before you break it down and simplify it into the low-poly style. But we've seen how that argument went.
>>
>>647952

I'm not saying you're wrong either. I just thought your initial critique was a little unfair.

There are artists that learn their shit and there are those that just do. And the RRH dude clearly just just did what looks right, and personally I dont think that should be discouraged by telling him to go back and learn topology.

Theres just so much "theory" that I think many people (including me) get cought up on just learning techniques instead of creating something, even if its a big tiddie hood gf with less-than average topology.
>>
>>647956
I definitely do agree that there is a difference between learning and doing and it's easy to get caught up in just learning, but you always need fundamentals if you want to make something of decent quality.
A lot of the learning workflows I've seen for 3D end up with you creating something at the end of it all, though. For example, making a game-ready character. You learn basic anatomical forms, sculpting, retopo/proper topology, maybe some box modelling for props, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging, skinning/weighting, perhaps animation of simple walk cycles to close it off. That's quite a bit of learning (provided you don't just "do" and find a proper tutorial) and at the end you've made a waifu for your fantasy sex game.
>>
>>647866
>anthro
ew, human
>>
>>647960
>For example, making a game-ready character.
Wouldn't you (or anyone else) happen to know of a good tutorial covering most of those points? All I've found till now is courses covering isolated parts of the process.

Make the tits larger, the waist smaller, and the hips larger. Also "low poly" looks like lazy bargain bin shit if you just use pastel colors. Its so fucking lazy and boring. I LOVE LOW POLY LIKE THE 90S AND EARLY 2000s BUT I DON'T WANT TO PUT THE EFFORT IN LIKE THEM.
>>
>>647973
>pastel colors
I don't know if you know what that means.
The image you posted is pastel (the shirt specifically), but OP's is not.

Unless I'm fucking retarded and misread your post, and you were referring to your image.
>>
>>648020
Shit that was my bad. Late night and enraged I messed up a word.
I meant high contrast solid colors shit like is in every indie game with low poly shit as opposed to more muted comfortable colors. Just generally avoid #FF0000 paired with either #000000 or #FFFFFF if you want to have any scrap of originality in your designs
>>
>>648030
not op but to add on this lara croft uses bitmaps and not just solid colours
>>
>>648020
Solid colors, he means
>>
>>647866
Human. Always human.
>>
>>647973
> I LOVE LOW POLY LIKE THE 90S AND EARLY 2000s BUT I DON'T WANT TO PUT THE EFFORT IN LIKE THEM.

This shit really pisses me off. searching for 'low poly' brings up a sea of hipsters posting untextured, flat colored models that aren't even particularly low poly for what they're representing. Almost none of them would be technically viable realtime assets for any videogame pre 2005, and they all look like shit.
>>
>>647973
I wouldn't use that as an example for improvement; even just from 1996 there's better models to take inspiration from than Lara's single wedge tit.
>>
>>648071
I chose it for the tits and how low effort 1996 lara croft has more detail and originality than modern immitaion LOW POLY meme shit that constantly gets posted around.

Back when it was due to constraints so they worked their hardest with what they had to put as much detail and clarity into the project. Modern low poly "artists" think that its about an intentional lack of detail and its their art style or some shit.
>>
>>648030
Yeah no worries, happens all the time.
Your point still stands. Those basic, high saturation/intensity colors really make shit seem cheap and amateurish. Even some basic color theory knowledge can help any model.

The world could use more low-poly anthros
>>
>>648113
No.
>>
>>648113
Decent work, considering the subject.
>>
>>648113
needs goat legs like pic related.

I'm not going to comment on the body type because it looks fetish driven just like >>643774
but I think the head should be wider.

Are you making it for a game? I hope it is going to be hand painted
>>
>>648113
Why did you stick a goat head on the Venus of Willendorf?
>>
>>647866
I like the anthro
>>
human style
low poly style is ok if art isnt game's hook
>>647894
this
dont make tits that big unless its supposed to be a sex/erotic game
>>
>>648075
Like yeah coolcool you clearly have strong opinions about the virtues of some derbyshire shitheads, but I'm just saying if you want to back up your position you'd maybe prefer to do so using other examples from the same time like say, Sonic Team or Naughty Dog. You know, people who made things that actually looked like things and not like trash.
