He's been working with a team of his own since his game got picked up and a lot of the early assets were off the Unreal Store. He's not even a teen, a 2016 interview says he's 26 so that puts him at 24 when he started development of this (and 28 currently).

Anyway, the amount of game devs in this industry is much higher than you think, except very few are rich enough to stop working and dedicate themselves to their pet project. Myself included. With the amount of edginess in that trailer alone, I'm not surprised the guy must have loaded parents he can leech off of, since he still hasn't gotten over his emo rebel phase at 24.
