Has anyone here made Quake1 models? Is there any documentation or methods? Can you use 3dsmax, blender or others or does it have to be some obscure late 90s editor only?All I know is that Q1 is some kind of fixed palette and textures in some pict(?) format nobody uses anymore and has no bones and needs vertex based animation.Thought id ask here instead of /v/
I got the blender plugin working and imported some models to take a look, but a lot of the documentation is missing like what is the polygon limits, are you limited to the existing animation frames. Somewhere else referenced QC files but the exporter goes straight to MDL?

Got a problem; the blender exporter can't seem to recognize any export script. I copy a sample from the text editor and save it when importing an mdl into blender but it keeps giving me a "cant find script" error when i fill in the script field.
