Anyone got experience selling shit on Unity asset store/CGtrader/whatever?What's your general experience and opinion?
Make something that people want to buy, and you got sales. Now, pricing the product right so you get paid enough to break even, that's a whole another story entirely.
That really make me feel uneasy
>>646464Me too, but I looked it up, and apparently it's normal and harmless for well-trained people.
>>645539All these shops prevent you from contacting the creator directly, right?
>>646470>apparently it's normalEven when this happens a couple inches further inside his head? I think not. They just want to continue this sort of self-destruction. Has nothing to do anymore with healthy ways of getting fit.
>>646477Depends on the store, CGTrader lets you contact / hire the artist without any problems.
>>646478>a couple inches further inside his headBlood vessels in your nose bust at way less pressure than anything else. You're also not flexing your brain m8.>Has nothing to do anymore with healthy ways of getting fit. What kind of dummy thinks sports of any kind is about "getting fit" in the first place?
>>646629>You're also not flexing your brain m8.True, but isn't the blood pressure increasing all over the body? Aren't there tiny vessels in the brain that could rupture with that?
>>646633>isn't the blood pressure increasing all over the body?not equally.>Aren't there tiny vessels in the brain that could rupture with that? Then weight lifters would be dropping dead left and right.
>>646637>Then weight lifters would be dropping dead left and right.I dunno, perhaps it does nothing, perhaps it increases the chance of a stroke by 20% or so. I'm just curious.
>>646662a stroke is the opposite of what you're talking about.
ok, look retards, this isn't something inherent to lifting or "going too far". Its 100% bad habits. He was holding his breath in - that is what generated the pressure, his core squeezing against air in his respiratory system. Thats it. You can stop writing now like you know what the fuck you're talking about.
>>646899lol say's the beta who just exposed himself for never lifting anything heavy
I bet he ruptured a bunch of arteries in his brain, fucking disgusting
>the cheapest whore gets the most customers if you're selling just undercut what other people who do similar work to you cost, and do what could potentially be worth it to as many people as possible.
>>647353Do you have experience with this, or is it what you think works?
>>645539I do and I'll tell you only one thing: don't bother with real-time, periodMake highpoly shit for interior renderings and you're good. No one needs your game models because every game is differ from each other plus most of the buyers are indieshitters with 0 sales or even finished product so also consider that Meanwhile interior renderings are getting out every day in thousands and every lazy faggot needs that sofa and most importantly he can afford those in batches I stalked few big assets from PUBG on stocks, original authors have fuckall sales and I highly doubt you want to whore yourself out for 20 bux too and feel like a used condom for a bunch of gooks
>>647623also cgtrader is a shithole with no traffic, their royalty rates mean jack shit when squid gives you x5 more sales. cgshithole must be your last priority
>>647623>>647628Your tough-guy language isn't really convincing
>>647664fuck offfff you're worthless
>>647664it's butthurt language dude. i'm really mad because of wasted time on real time shit.
>>647623>>647628TurboJews fuck you in the ass with their 40% royalties and while you can work your way up to 80%, it still won't be guaranteed and you'll have to exclusively sell on their site. And good luck getting noticed when they promote their own shit on every search. Also before talking out of your ass, check traffic tracker websites and you'd quickly notice that someone like CGTrader is very close in terms of website visits. Between various marketplaces with no bullshit exclusivity contracts, etc. you can bring in way more than TurboJews can offer. Quit supporting someone who clearly fucks you over.
>>647752I don't care if turbosquid is a bad guy. overall, he brings me times more revenue than cgshitter. that's it.on squid people buy shit. on cgtrader they watch it and fuck off. fun fact: i charge about 35-40% more for same models on turbosquid so my final income per model is equal from every site. people still buy more on squid.
>>648025>i charge about 35-40% more for same models on turbosquidIsn't TurboSquid mangling your pricing? Some time ago they said they would be doing that, and from what can be read on the forums, they are.
>>648025How much do you make per month though? Can you live from it or is it more like a side job, that's what interests me.
Unity asset store has discovery problems. So if ypu are planning to sell there have a back up plan for marketing ypur assets, ypu will need it to have any kind of luck.
>>648032if you mean thishttps://support.turbosquid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000703811-TurboSquid-s-Best-Price-Policythen I had no interaction with this shit whatsoever. the only time turbosquid contacted me it was a warning for putting my artstation name as a overlay text in the corner. that's all I had with TS staff in years. >>648035not much. you totally can't live from it unless you have a 500-1000 item libary, like some dudes do. I suspect like these people are not really modelling anything, but order from shitholes like Upwork and Fiverr. Still risky though because sales are a gamble. I can get ten sales in a three day then fucking nothing a month straight.
>>646662>>646938Look out we got some doctors over here! Looks like weight lifting's bad and we shouldn't grow muscle and push our bodies to the limit guys.
>>648660Reading comprehension: F-.
>>648660>>648664Yeah, nowhere did they claim they were doctors!Reading comprehensionlets on my 3
>>648664>>648867No shit they aren't doctors, that's why they should stop talking like they know.
Okay this is epic
>>648970>like they know>>"I dunno">>"I don't know">>"I bet"Anon, I... I think you might be retarded.
