If you use blender for anything else than making pretty looking models and scenes your mother must have dropped you on your head.
>t. Blender is absolute trash for making 3d-printer compatible files
>>

Blender is as good as any other 3d package

If you want SERIOUS shit then model it in CAD software.

I learned solidworks and fusion 420. They're both infinitely better than this garbage. Unfortunately my new, retarded boss won't let me use them because the company doesn't have a license for them, and I'm not allowed to use my own copy of fusion because it's a "security risk"

>be bad at using software, probably doesn't even know about basic features like precision mode
>"IT'S THE SOFTWARE'S FAULT!!!!"
It's time for you to quit, you're just dragging everyone else down.

Wrong. This shitty piece of bloated freeware is horrible in that it's constantly broken. Nearly crashed on me 4 times today and now the entire model I've been working on has gone black, so that I can't see what I'm fucking doing. Fuck off and die, blender will never be useful for anything with real world practical applications except for pretty little renders of your mom's new kitchen that she wanted but you were too poor to help her get it.

Nobody cares about your opinion. :)

Nigger comparing artistic 3d application and an engineering design applicaion is like comparing AC and a fridge.
They serve different purposes.
There are free and open CAD packages, all cad software offers roughly the same functionality and workflow except different interface.
>>
i made a 3d printer compatible file using blender
>>
>>644605
Yes. Now tell that to my retard boss
>>644607
I'm proud of you, son
>>
>>644603
Your computer is shit and so is your attitude
>>
>>644611
what program are you using at your workplace? just make the models in your desired program and import them into the program at ur workplace
>>
>>644603
that sounds more like a problem with your computer

not to sound like im sucking blenders dick but in my time of using it it has never done anything similar to that happen
>>

Only a bad craftsman complains about his tools.

I use Blender every day for 3D printing, give me a break. Is your Google broken?

Space -> Select non manifold
>>
>>644600
then it's on your retarded boss
>>
>>644603
>Nearly crashed on me 4 times today and now the entire model I've been working on has gone black

maya and max crash every 15 minutes, dude.

blender still sucks tho
>>
>>644603
Lol the only time I've crashed blender was when I tried to auto uv unwrap with a 1° separation
>>
>>644598
I as any other indie developer use blender to remove cutID and other embedded tracking bullshit from fbx files which come from my stolen autodesk software
>>
>>646510
How do you retain functionality? Does Blender simply ignore the bits of data that it doesn't understand, and copy them as they come in?
>>
>>646522
I just import it into blender, mess with it a bit, save as *.blend, then export using blender exporter. there is absolutely no fucking way any autojew tracking devices can stick after THAT.
