Id go with bones. Depends a lot on the level of detail of your model tho. The ones in my own models have 3 sections:
Outer Labia, Inner Labia, Vaginal Canal,
I have rings of bones for each labia section. 4-8 bones should be enough per part. The canal itself is quite simply rigged with 3 bones. I barely use it as I dont do any visible stuff down there.
Then I use a spline rig to control each outer labia. This also drives the inner labia bones but they also have additioanl offset controls.
On top of that I have a simple surface point collision for the bones but I havent used that system much as I prefer to hand-animate that regoin.
So far this system has proven good for my needs.

Looks nice my dude, Vaginas have so many different possible shapes so I dont think it makes much sense to go into details just yet. Post me a pic of the wireframe once you are done with retopo, then Ill be able to give more relevant feedback in regards to rigging that thing ;)

Yeah you're right, and about why i'm using 2 subtools its because i was lacking detail in that part (and the topology of the model was already clean with zremesher), so yup my bad, i'll fix it. Thanks for the feedback.

This is why we need procedural generation for these meshes. I believe I saw some attempts here some time ago, wonder how far they actually advanced.

sometimes you want to do things like have a character tug on their labia from a certain angle and having to make a shape key for every possible scenario for that can get tiresome, bones will do it very quickly.

bones are bad at doing big transforms though like a gaping vag, that's where you use shape keys instead.

You could say the industry has different people working on different parts anyways, sure and true. I agree they do. They also work under ine company, or theres an agreement if multiple studios are working together.
