Sorry noob. Caustics cannot be rendered by a path tracer. What you can do is take a photography of physical caustics in a dark room and then add them in post-production. It's the industry solution to the caustics problem.

If there's one disgusting thing I hate seeing is a gray skybox. All shadows look like ashy cancer. Check that box fgt.

I would fucking bake the shadow into an image (texture) like they do for games do I don' need to re-render it.

The added benefit is that you can apply photoshop filters onto the texture.

Last time I used Cycles it was crude, the only ray-tracing renderer worth bothering with is Lux.
