Hey, first project from scratch how did I do?
>>
I see what you did there
>>
No offense, but it looks like a donut. I think you'll do better if you learn anatomy first.
>>
>>636212
Too much highlight and the plate looks like crap.

Honestly I think this is the most photo realistic render possible. You guys act like this stuff is really hard

I can't eat doughnuts so I give this an F-

That tiny almost invisible pubic hair is a really nice touch.

Looks absolute shit.
Typically Blender.

This. That's what he gets for being a Blendlet and not a Maya user.

Hey fuck off, at least one person probably looked at this actual photo of a cake and thought it was a shitty 3d render of a donut.

Heh, retard.
>>
>>636212
looks good OP.
>>
>couldn't even bother to undistort the photo to at least confuse people who know their cg.
>people still fall for OP's bullshit
This is why ya'll don't have jobs.

Imagine being so bad at cooking that you resort to making food in blender and passing it off as real food! What a loser! Hahaha!

Fuckin' BlenderGuru tutorial
>>
>>636212
I know it's a fucking photo but it sure looks weird with the triangular drippings and the perfect coat of glaze. I'd expect at least a bit of specular bumpyness because of condensation or whatever. The cake is also way to cakelike to be a doughnut, but it isn't a donut, and I'm going to cry myself to sleep now.
>>
>>636557
This. It looks delicious and, honestly, I'd love to eat it off OPs dick but it's not a donut. It's a cake.
>>
>>636212
>the absolute state of blendlets
Too much bump map on the dough, does not look real at all
>>
>>636212
>>636253
Completely garbage to be honest, this looks nothing like what a real donut would look like. You can even see some artifacts in the sprinkles. This is lazy and poorly done. Lighting is terrible the render is bad.
>>
>>636212
Better than Andrew Price.
>>
You just took a photo of a donut

This looks like my dick.

guys i don't browse this board much
do you people have such good technology
these renders look so real! how?
>>
>>637553
He used Blender, which exceeds at this particular task. No other software has gone farther in the photorealistic rendition of dough, glazing, and sprinkles.

If you are wondering how this all came to be, it's all thanks to Andrew Price, a humble man who one day released a donut making tutorial to the world, for free (!). This happened just when computer graphics were on the verge of the necessary breakthroughs, and with the continued passion and effort of thousands of tutorial followers, eventually, the key to photorealistic donut rendering was achieved.

It is too technical to describe here, and a good part of it goes over my head, but the results, as you can see, speak for themselves.

Post the wireframe

My issue is what poor soul is getting donuts with such large holes
