Recently discovered Marvelous Designer and oh boy it looks fun. Except, I don't know what tutorials for it are good and get to the point quickly. The website recommends following their own tutorials (https://www.marvelousdesigner.com/learn/#) but they're all uploaded at shit resolution, have an ESL narrator with a terrible mic, and just zoom through everything with little to no explanation. Genuinely shit-tier tutorials.Surely /3/ has some MD users? What are the best beginner-to-pro tutorials for it?
Well STFU and learn.Anything will do
CGElves tutorials. There is also a good one at Pluralsight. Start with this one, then continue with the former.
>>628483>paying for tutorials
>>628493I didn't say anything about that.

>>628483Thanks my guy. Can't find a live torrent for CGElves on GFXPeers (tfw no cgpeers membership), but I did find the Pluralsight one. There's also the Gnomon one that I'll probably take a look at.>>628493>paying for software>>628501Holy shit, a tutorial narrated by a woman. That's just rare from my tutorial-perusing experience. Thanks.
>>628511>Can't find a live torrent for CGElves on GFXPeersHere you go:https://gfxpeers.net/torrents.php?id=17937
>>628513Okay, maybe live wasn't the right term used, but there's no one actively seeding the thing. It just kinda strolls along at a few bytes per second. Not so good when it's nearly 30gb in size. (for reference, I can usually get 5-15mb/s on gfxpeers torrents when people are seeding)
>>628517I'm seeding it. I've done some changes, if everything works well, you should be getting it at 256 ~ 512 kB/s.
>>628524Thanks anon. qbittorrent's saying we're chugging along at a speedy 40~KiB/s, but it's better than nothing. Appreciate it.
>>628511>Holy shit, a tutorial narrated by a woman.Nah man, just a little boy.
>>628630>tfw it was a woman probably in her 40s with a dry as fuck voiceWas a really detailed and well-informed tutorial though. Definitely one of the best I've watched, even if she went over really menial and basic stuff.
>>628649>women in 40s>dry as fuckI took out the context, but it still makes sense.Good to hear you found the tutorial helpful.
not sure if this is the right place to ask but would anyone happen to have this?
>>628788didnt put link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36RP7TaNgTk
Anyone have a link to a recent version? I can't find anything newer than Marvelous Designer 3, and it's severely lacking in features.
>>629496Private trackers. CGPeers / GFXPeers. I got mine off the latter, it's MD 7.5 Enterprise.
>>629497Happen to have an invite? Will seed
>>629499Nope, sorry. Invites open on the 1st & 15th, so just wait a little more.
>>629503Ah, alright, thanks anyway. Will I be able to get an invite directly from the site then? Or do I have to find someone kind enough to share an invite with me?
>>628462My advice is to learn the technical side of designer, and then study fashion mags/cut& sew techniques/etc for actual assembly. Most of these tutorials are made by people who barely even know how a t shirt is put together.
>>629504Ah, I meant registrations, not invites. Sorry. Yeah, you just have to provide login details and hope you get in. You probably will. I did on my first try, and I'm pretty sure I was quite late to it. >>629505Yeah, I've been looking for clothing patterns here and there. Most of the tutorials I've seen just go "trace this pattern and wa la", which is kind of annoying since I'm more interested in making my own.
>>629507Okay, great. Thanks for the info!
>>628629You're welcome. Have you managed to get it? I've already seen an increase in seeds and peers.
>>629503i tried to signup and it just wouldnt send me the fucking email.
>>629511Ah yeah I have, it finished quite a while ago in fact. Thanks a lot my guy.>>629658Registrations only open on the 1st and the 15th of every month, I believe. I'd rather opt for CGPeers anyway. GFXPeers has a lot of trouble keeping the lights on, it spends a lot of time being down because they don't have enough donations to pay for the server costs.
>>629661>GFXPeers has a lot of trouble keeping the lights on, it spends a lot of time being down because they don't have enough donations to pay for the server costs.I don't see how they can have bigger costs than CGPeers. That's what they claim, but..., don't they have a smaller userbase?Content seems to be more up to date, though.
>>629710They are ripping off everything from CGPeers or Persia and they wonder why people see no reason to give them money? fucking leeches
>>629710>bigger costs than CGPeers. That's what they claimReally? I'm not actually a CGPeers member (lookin to get in when July rolls around); GFXPeers asks for around 220 a month as "server donations" though.
>>629496https://archive.org/details/MarvelousDesigner_201806Just uploaded it
>>630149>Uploading cracked software to the Internet Archive.Well, that is new.
>>628483Finally found the time to watch the CGElves tuts and sheeeit her voice is really cute. The tutorials are really good too, very in-depth and they'll return to older sections if MD updated to explore the new related features.
>>628511>Holy shit, a tutorial narrated by a woman. That's just rare from my tutorial-perusing experience. Thanks. If you are into godlike tutorials, I recommend you this guy:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p55Z7k0eXmcIt's essentially green-haired witness telling you how to use DAZ. He can also teach you other useful things, like how to deflect astral attacks while meditating.
>>631441>illusion of a humanWew, this is based as fuck. Thank you, Anon.
>>631429that one is gooooood. she not only teaches how to use the darn program but also teaches how to shape/cut the fabric so the clothes look good.
>>630149>Internet ArchiveHaha, wowThanks a lot, Anon!
