can somebody tell me why there is so much difference between color to editor material and rendering
>>
>3ds Max

Is this 1999?
>>
>>627112
are you using spec/gloss maps?
>>
>>627112
you probably fucked up your gamma settings, look it up (both 3dsmax gamma and/or Vray gamma / linear workflow)

>>627133
kys blenderfag
3dsmax and Maya are top tier

You almost certainly have your gamma and LUT set incorrectly.

>>you probably fucked up your gamma settings, look it up (both 3dsmax gamma and/or Vray gamma / linear workflow)

Yup. Like he said.

Make sure system gamma is set to 2.2, when you import your maps make sure colourspace is set to 'Automatic (Recommended)' and it will correct the colourspace of all your bitmaps behind the scenes.
DO NOT do this for normal maps though - they need to still come in at gamma 1.0.

But yeah, like the other anon said, do some research on 'linear workflow'. It's boring I'm afraid, but you need to know this shit.
>>
>>627112
Max is not color managed, everything is based on linear color (including the color pickers) and all the maps you import are automatically compensated for as >>627206 has explained. This means it falls on you to make sure that colors stay consistent. If you don't like that, use Maya instead.

Max was already successful back then and still is today. In the meantime you blendlets have been repeating for over a decade that blender would soon become the industry standard and yet, there we are.

accurate

Are you fucking retarded? I use Maya and why the fuck would you learn anything else then the industry standard? Go take your Blendlet and 3ds Fags crap and stick it up your asses.

Congratulations on being easily replaceable.
>>
>>627133
Blendlet can't fathom the power of industry-standard software.

Go back making donuts, blendie

in that scenario, Blender would be a nigerian slum full of autistic retards building shelters with twigs and giraffe crap
>>
>>627340
based Maya bro coming to the rescue
>>
>>627341
3dsfag actually, but I'm also on the side that Maya is top tier

>>627340
remainder that russia won WWII with limited resources while the axis had superior tech.

so if you compare the soviet union to blender, we have the numbers and perseverance to win the war.

>>627344
learn to read blendtard
>>
>>627344
Typical Blendlet's reading comprehension.

This must be why they don't read the manual of their pet program.

And, also, why it's not even fully written.
>>
>>627343

Absolutely based.

Maya and 3dsMax soldiers joint forces against the blendlet infestation.
>>
>>627340
hehe lol
