How can we make SFM better, guys? I "know" someone at Valve if you know what I mean.I have his balls over hot coals, he will change almost anything in the program, given sufficent reason
they are making a new sfm with source 2
>>625006who told you this?
>>625013>>625013i don't remember where i heard it, but i thought its common knowledge at this point?should only work for dota2 now
>>625003Is it true that desi chicks actually like b
>>625163grrrr dont mention "his" name
>>625171please obi wan kenobiyou're myonlyhope
>>625003shut it down.
>>625003Unless it's able to directly import assets made for other programs like Poser and Daz and Maya it's doomed for suckage. All SFM is is a method to animate Valve's game assets. If it wants to become more then it has to expand the number of assets it's able to easily import and use.
>>625439Limited character variety is my #1 gripe. But I don't know if importing assets is to blame, I don't know much about that process. But I do know that there's an awful lot of Overwatch SFM. Better modeling software might be more helpful, but Valve probably isn't interested in that.
>>625003>fix memory leaks>more rendering effects and shaders like reflections and SSS>flagging system so certain materials are/are not affected or seen by certain post processing effects>animation set for override materials>support for IK chains with more than 3 bones.>a toggle to make individual bones non-selectable>prefab menu to save the state of grouped dags for reuse in other sessions>a tool to directly import formats besides vmf to Source Engine from within SFM or as a separate utility>global lighting options and negative lights.Knowing how Valve works though, they'll do some tacked-on bs that people have to find workarounds to make any of it function properly.
>>625003why not switch to Unity or Unreal? Both have cinematic systems, are fully maintained and constantly upgraded. vs SFM which is old and abandoned
>>625003it's a toy program for making tf2 memes that's been dead for years. nothing that your made-up valve employee could possibly do would make sfm any less of a waste of time.
>>625006>making a new sfm>old one still in betawtf
>>628466tell that to all the blokes making shit load of money for doing sfm porn
>>628496where are they? i typed "sfm porn patreon" into google and i found one guy getting 2k/month which is nice but not impressive for people with real jobs and everyone else seems to just be getting small change like $50-200/month even for reasonably high quality work. that's not a "shitload" of money unless you're a child.
>>625003>SFM betterWith the current Source Engine?
>>628466one mans toy program is another man's money maker
>>625003Please just give some form of info that there is an update or improvements or anything for it, the few people who like it are desperate as all hell
