Anyne have experience in AE?
Im trying to make a hole in this rotating icon. The square is visible on one side, but i'd like it to act as a "hole".

I assumed AE would have a "shape builder" tool like illustrator has, that way I could just cut it out and make the center transparent.
If you can help me out or point me to some videos that would be helpful!

You want it to be treated as a hole, respecting the 3D-ness of the shape? Probably easier to just model that and render it out than to do it in AE.
