Is there any reason to learn this piece of crap software? My friend telling me to learn Houdini but it looks super complex. He said in a few years it would be required for non pro environment work. He also said two years ago to learn Substance designer, but I ignored his advice. I don't know /3/. Procedural workflow and nodes system looks interesting. Surely it will pick up like Substance designer did. Can you even get a job now without knowledge of designer.
>>616197Houdini is super nice for VFX
Yes, fucking mongoloid. Just wait until your expertise in blender gets you your dream job, cocksuck.
>>616197There isn't anything better for complex sims
>>616197if you master houdini, you'll never need to worry about abu taking your job
>>616197Depends on what kind of work you need done. Try it if you're gonna work with large or complex physics and paricle simulations, VFX, or if you're gonna generate/model assets procedurally.Plus, right now there's a pretty good demand of Houdini people.
>>616197It's a good way to get a job. Very useful in big pipelines. More complex = less competition. If you want to model and animate waifus stick with traditional software for the time being. Especially if you can't get pro training. Maybe 3-5 years from now Houdini will compete in this area.
