How do I make a turntable animation? I'm using the video in pic related

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r0KsLYr3wA

But it's trash and stops at 80% of the process. For people who've never done it the last 20% are missing. Meaning: How to finalise the render, export and save as mp4 or individual png frames at a specified location. Any tips?

what's wrong with it?

nothing, stay out of this board, its full of amateurs and bad advise.
>>
>>614734
its incomplete, ton wont learn how to develop because hes old and pathetic when he looks in the mirror

I'm not sure exactly what your problem is.

Your animation will render out to the folder specified in the render properties tab which by default is a folder named tmp on your c drive or whatever yours is. All of the various render options are in the render tab of the properties panel.

The Turnaround add-on, which is shipped with Blender, does all of those steps for you.

For the render, assuming the scene is ready, you just change the output settings to video and pick an encoding. However, this is not advisable, because if your machine crashes or whatever you'll have to restart your render since the beginning.

Render as independent images, then use something like ffmpeg to convert them into your video format of choice.

Use a turntable in marmoset 3
>>
>>614756
You can use Blender to do it all.
>>
>>614738
It's more comprehensive than any 3d package I've ever used. I always find neat things; just recently dove into the NLA editor.
>>
>>614805
Can I use Blender to make a useful 3D modeling software? If Blender can do it all, why can't Blender make an UI for Blender?

Joke post or does blender really have a turntable addon?

Does it have lights and render settings already in it.

Lol if true.

You just have to find a tutorial with some dude that, after telling you all about donuts, will tell you the 20 secret hotkeys you have to press to enable it.
>>
>>614848
I checked, it does but it's broken in 2.79b.

It only makes a camera as far as I can tell though.
>>
>>614851
I dunno. I just find that funny. I mean in college we had to make that all fro. scratch in maya. It wasn't that hard and in sure it's useful to have a pre-made one. But it was an invaluable learning experience to do it from scratch. And once you've done it well, now you know how to do it.
>>
>>614851
I can confirm it works as intended on 2.79b. It just creates a camera parented below an empty, which is then animated to create the turnaround. The add-on is not expected to create any studio set-up.

There are add-ons for that but I haven't tested them. You may want to look into them:

* Pro Lighting Studio (paid)
* Blender Light Studio (free, https://leomoon.com/downloads/plugins/blender-light-studio/, https://www.youtube.com/embed/NWPeuJ6I5kc)

As an aside, since I just tested the Turnaround add-on, be advised that the animation is not linear, and that the last frame may be a repetition of the first one. If the latter is the case, simply end the animation one frame earlier.

>How do I make a turntable animation?
parent everything to a single bone.
set keyframe at frame one.
set keyframe at mid point, rotated along z for 180.
set keyframe at end frame +1 frame along z for another 180.
set end frame to be one less than your end keyframe.
render animation as png files.
open the video sequence editor panel.
add all the png files you rendered.
re-render the animation as an mp4.

that's about it.

>parent everything to a single bone.
Does blender not have any Null/Dummy objects? Disgusting.
>>
>>614962
why would you use an empty instead of a bone?
are you really this anti-blender that you stretch this hard?

you should start being more loving towards people instead of being a shit.
>>
Okay it's working boys but what I really need to know now is how to have nearest neighbour type interpolation so that I can do stuff like this.

My pepsi can copycat attempt is super blurry and soft

>My plan to be a worthless shit and demand knowledge has failed. I know, I'll ask in one of the countless other threads I started.
>>
>>614996

you gotta be a shameless cunt to make it in this world i'm afraid.
>>
>>614970
WTF, Blender does have empties and they are the first choice when trying to animate something which doesn't need what bones afford you.
>>
>>614732
Are you this stupid? Keyframe the model to rotate continuously, render out your passes (YOU ARE USING PASSES RIGHT???) and comp them in Nuke or something. Then render out .mp4.
Fuck you are so stupid why people ask these things if there's literally million tons of information on internet on various forums and whatnot.
>>
>people really need a guide (or a plugin) to do a fucking turn-around animation
The absolute state of /3/

First you get yourself Maya or 3DS Max.
