Fucking millennials.

I got it, I got it. I'd delete the thread (because I'm about to make a new one HAHA) but it's too old, won't let me anymore.

not really millenials, this is retarded and should burn in hell, blender is a wonderful application but I want to strangle whoever designed that festering junk of UI it has
at least bforartists does it right so you get all goodies of blender AND proper UI
>>

Without a doubt they cover it in that vidya

>Blender design is so bad and unintuitive that you literally need a tutorial just to close a window
>I see this same topic everywhere on other forums
>Right-clicking viewport "join area" on the line won't do anything if the viewports are not the equal size or the specific valid edge direction

Can someone tell me how on earth someone thought this was a good idea?
>>
>>614150
Ton Roosendaal wants to steal your sanity, plain and simple
>>
You hit the red X and open pirated maya
>>
>>614150
Don't tell me you didn't need a tutorial to figure out how to open a pie menu and change the viewport angle in Maya, for example.
>>
>>614150
This, Maya and 3DSmax brainlets should just stick with their containment software and let normal intelligent people work with Blender in peace.
>>
>>614157
>Using blender
>Intelligent

Pick one
>>
>>614163
Says the brainlet having trouble closing a window.
>>
>>614164

We souldn't need a tutorial to know how to close a fucking window. That's not a matter of intelligence, it's just bad design coming from a bad software. Maya and 3DS max people are actually working on real games and movies, while you blendlets keep praising man in the high castle and the spiderman credits.
>>
>>614156
at least maya has conventional X to close dud
>>
>>614166
>We souldn't need a tutorial to know how to close a fucking window.
Yet you did, because you are literally retarded. I've never heard of anyone stupid enough to need a tutorial just to close a window. When I started using Blender I didn't need one and all the people I know who use Blender never had any problems with it either, because any person with any common sense will immediately connect the dots and realize that the big arrow in the corner of the viewport MIGHT have some kind of functionality to it.

You're dumb, son. Sorry.
>>
>>614166
>>614156

And >>614167:
Nicely evaded. The point is that every software has things like that where you just need to watch some tutorial in order to be able to do them. But it's ok, I know this is a meme thread.
>>
>>614169
>Nicely evaded.
holy shit you dense dude, we aren't talking about higher level fuckeries, maya has plenty of redundant shit too
the thing is closing something is a fucking BASIC OPERATION.
you should not even THINK where you can find it, it is CONVENTIONALLY placed in TOP. RIGHT. CORNER. LOOKS. LIKE. FUCKING. CROSS. that's the fucking BASICS. you shouldn't need a fucking tutorial for it.
luckily blender is free and open source and there are superior forks which any sane person should use.

are you faggots really bored or something?
>>
>>614164
uh what.... im on your side moron.
>>
>>614168

No I didn't, because I'm not retarded enough to use blender.

Just type "blender how to close windows" on google and look at how many people are having problems with this. The windows should close when dragging them on each other, or by clicking on some sort of tab icon.

Once again you blendlets are delusing yourselves into believing your shitty open source software has a proper interface.

I'd rather be dumb than being a blendlet because when you're a blendlet, your dumb AND you're using blender. Bad combo.

How many real games/movies have you worked on, tell us.

>>614172
You're really trying hard to shit on Blender for stupidest reasons, aren't you? Even if it did have a horrible UI (which it doesn't), it's something that will be troublesome just at the beginning. After a day or two you won't be even thinking about it. People on the internet who are bitching they want to use Blender, but can't because of the UI are just lazy and don't want to admit it. It is JUST UI, lol. Come on now.
>>
>>614259
something tells me you have problems with basic reading comprehension
I'll repeat it again, several times.

the funniest thing about autokeks and industry fags is that they can't rub two nickels together.
you won't see any industry people posting here, just some jerkoffs that don't have a pot to piss in

>>614264

>at least bforartists does it right so you get all goodies of blender AND proper UI
This (sadly not a joke) project is still alive?
https://www.bforartists.de/gallery
>>
>>614279
why sadly?
they improved that clusterfuck of blender UI and current version is based on 2.79 so they don't look dead for me
>>
>>614281
>"It is centered away from the hotkey usage and speed"
And this is a good thing to you guys... Just wow. I won't shit on it too much since I haven't used it, but I don't see many differences in UI. Some buttons are just immediately available on top and bottom instead of inside of a T menu. Looks pretty pointless.

If you prefer to work with a GUI, you just look like an idiot who needs all the tooltips and pretty pictures to guide him how to use a program even after years of usage. All the good pros use shortcuts to speed up their workflow which is very important in this industry. These discussions about the UI are freaking hilarious.
>>
>>614292
I get that you are a tryhard industryfag but in my eyes blender is THE app for hobbyists and should be much more hobbyist friendly. bforartists achieves that for me.
>>
>>614299
Well, then, stay with BfA, and don’t intend to fuck Blender up as a production tool.
>>
>>614292
if i can do most of my modeling using quick buttons then it completely disproves your claim of blender having a shit UI.
if blender was so messed up like you say, you wouldn't be able to do that. and that's something autodesk is notorious for having
>>
>>614374
Why are you replying to me? I'm on your side.
>>
>>614281
>why sadly?
Have you looked at the gallery I linked?
Looks like a joke to me, but people are actually pouring their lifetime into that project.
But to each their own I guess.
