It's okay. Remember that a car's body is made out of several parts. It's okay to model the bumpers, doors, hood, mirrors and so on separately from one another.

I'm gonna be honest and say - yes, it looks horrible. But that's okay, you just HAVE to follow a lot of tutorials before trying to model complex stuff like this on your own. Trying to figure it out by yourself is a waste of time and that is NOT okay, though.

Because most users aren't exactly top tier. Doesn't help that stuff like shaders aren't exactly easy to learn (I know this from experience).

Then again, any modeling software can look cheap if you're shit enough, doesn't matter if it's Blender, Maya, C4D or any other program.

And frankly, I find Sketchup models to look far cheaper than Blender.

I mean, this is bad. Knife-sharp shadows, flat tires bent in the oddest possible way. Unfortunately we're about 15 years past when something like that would have had any commercial or career value, but then again maybe it's all you can get in Blender.

IMO nothing produced by CGCookie looked really top-tier. Even if their tutorials were good, the results were still shitty. Just look at those sculpting courses and those characters. Cringe, but the courses itself are not bad. Doesn't say much about Blender, but I get it that you're probably one of those people who will always find a reason to trash Blender.
