>>608390And now we're bored with you.
Any chance Valve is ever gonna update Source and SFM?Not the OP, just curious. I have no horse in the SMF horsedong porn race.
>>608397seems unlikely. last update was like 2013 i think? it's fucking valve, they have brief periods of excitement over a new thing and then they leave it to rot.and even if they did update it, it would still be a toy built on top of a video game. it's what makes it accessible for people who find real software intimidating but it also means it's never going to get the sorts of features people want, like subdivision or fluid simulation or whatever.
>>608397Source 2 is running on CS;GO and DOTA now so it's only a matter of time
>>608390delete this
>>608397no. Valve dosent work on video game developing anymore. Their main income is on steam.
>>608397By the time the model-scaling/material override update came out, the SFM team was massively downscaled or wheeled their pc over to another part of valve to the point only one guy worked on it. Dota 2 SFM had potential since that has one of valves biggest teams that we know of but that also died pretty quick too.tl;dr NEVER EVER
>>608390Unless JewModeler Blender releases their models free, SFM still the favorite choice for Porn animation.
>>609059You kids should really try blender or Maya. Both are pretty cozy when you donate some time to learn them.
>>608397i thought dota2 revamp that came out 2 years ago had a updated sfm with obj/fbx supporthavnt checked it in ages
>>611234If they updated or not it doesn't really seem to matter. Everything coming out of SFM seems to be one or two generations behind every other modeling suite with a renderer built into it.
>>608397After 9 years in development, it's stil in beta
