Anon finally got real, volumetric scattering / bloom to work in blender. You may not like it, but this is what real raytraced not fake blurred like they do in vidya scattering looks like. This is years ahead of unreal engine 4 quality if you can't tell. This is free software - 99.9999% of paid software can't even achieve this.
>>607418>This is years ahead of unreal engine 4 qualityNo shit a raytracer will be superior to a realtime engine.
>>607418looks shit go kill yourself
>>607418I''m sick of seeing that noise on every Cycles render. Can't you guys optimize that shit before posting?
>>607418And you won't tell us how to do this?
>>607418unless you made it not Blender Game Engine anymore, nobody here cares esp if this isn't in real time which it isn't.
>>607424no noise now. My latest render after playing with the anisotropy settings of the volume. A couple seconds on gpu then denoised with GIMP. No Photoshop, nobody coming to threaten me for theft. Just good ol FLOSS.>>607426I had been putting off learning how to do this for days, but its really easy. Just look at Gleb Alexandrov creative shrimp video on youtube
>>607418I use Blender myself mainly but stop the fucking software baiting finally Jesus christ
>>607436no baiting is being done anon. One software is free, open source and gives industry quality results. The other...well? Just a bunch of outdated dinos or a dodo if you will
>>607418Have you tried LuxRender? If not, you'll enjoy it for sure. It's more complex than Cycles for this sort of thing, but having spectral rendering is all sort of rainbows.
>>607441>But having spectral rendering is all sorts of rainbowsWhat did you mean by this
>>607442LuxRender simulates the light spectrum, something that most engines don't (by default, even if they are capable) due to performance reasons.
>>607443I'm actually making my renders in black and white at first and then using patreon to buy into colored versions which come out at some later date so that rainbow stuff doesn't immediately have my attention like other things like cuda 9
>>607443i've tried lux and i feel like its gpu rendering isn't even as fast as the cpu rendering of iray. why is this?
>>607447You're expected to be able to take his src and improve upon it
>he doesn't dither his REAL bloomthe state of blenderfags
>>607452If you have a shit display like a phone you won't be able to see the real version. Step up your game. My monitor cost over 1k
>>607460I am a filthy phoneposter until I get home>spending over 1k on a monitoranon the fuck do you have? I got a 4k 43" for $660
>>607467>only 1440p 34"Not 120hz but 100 still damn good, I really like your screen anon and it seems nice
>>607468I only run it at 60fpsmy gaming monitor is pg258q. Much better for csgo
>>607445What do you mean by CUDA 9?
>>607479Shhhh shhhh babby
>>607447I haven’t tested GPU rendering in Lux, but from what I’ve read it’s still experimental and not expected to be faster for all workloads. There are also some features missing, such as spectral rendering, which is the reason I didn’t try it.Sadly it seems Lux’s development has been a bit slow recently, so who knows when will GPU rendering get out of experimental.
>>607448Artists aren’t expected to do that.
>>607484Writing a raytracer is an art. If you can't do that you have weaknesses as an artist that keep you on artist tier pay, like a little hamster running on a wheel and shitting and dying.
>>607418Fix this noisy mess, blendlet.
