How long will it be before I can make something like this?
Years and it will even be prolonged because you'll constantly feel the urge to fap and not getting anywhere because of it
>>604902But you're wrong, anon. Who would fap to huge tumors? No one!
>>6048945-10 years
>>604904or never since anon seems to be a faglet who knows nada about 3d
How long will it be before I can make something like this?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6thrPKkB7o
>>6049064 years
>>604894Years of trial and error, iteration and refinement. Stick too it, anon.
About four to six months of full-time intense study and practice (8-12 hours daily).
>>604894Years. I've been doing this for 3 years and I'm not that good.I'm pretty much only doing character art now. 10 hours a day on weekdays, 16 hours a day on weekends.16 hours a day when I get time off stupid data entry job.
>>604921How?It would take at least 2 months to understand anatomy.Take another 4 months to get basic anatomy down. That not taking into account learning Zbrush, learning how to translate 2D into 3D.Your talking about years. The person who sculpted that probably been sculpting anime figurines all their life.
>>604931>Years. I've been doing this for 3 years and I'm not that good.> 10 hours a day on weekdays, 16 hours a day on weekends.time to get a real job mate.
>>604931>10 hours a day on weekdays, 16 hours a day on weekends. That's a ton of time, I'd like to see something you made, interested what can be achieved with that amount of practice. Ofc only if you want to share something.
>>6048943 monthsAnime shit is easiest of any 3d work.
>>604939>>604931>>604934Yeah share your work anon.
>>604952Low poly is easier (real low poly, not game "low poly").
>>604894There is no money in Animu, Autisimo. You must shit out god-tier VFX assets for god awful Hollyweird garbage, literally pissing your creativity and life away.
>>604894it's https://www.patreon.com/leslyzerosix right?>>604964When patreon was showing how much money the artist from OP was getting, it was earning a living if I remember correctly.People can earn money by doing what they like, not just shitty films
>>604990https://graphtreon.com/creator/leslyzerosixHe was earning just shy of 3000 dollars a month last time the numbers were up (I was a ten-dollar sub). That being said, he apparently also had a job as a figurine sculptor so, while he must've been making a decent chunk of change, he reiterated multiple times that he was doing nothing but sculpting 24/7 so it must be fucking maddening to some extent, doing nothing but the same thing over and over again every day, in this case working on anime titty, for years of your life on end. I dunno, whenever he posted on patreon, he didn't seem happy or anything, it was always to post some solemn update or rebuke people who were asking for free shit, never any good news or anything.
>>605025What a painful existence that has to be... I don't know, I never believe that anons who say they want to do this stupid shit for a living are serious about it.
>>605025maybe he is just one of those perfectionist types, who are never happy with their work.
>>604894Honestly, most of this is just being able to draw a good basic female body and face. Rest is ez pz.
How long before being able to do pic related ? few months ? I don't really intend to go any further into details or photorealism (yes I know there's a shader)
>>6051432 years
>>605143o fuck that's cute
>>605143maybe 2 months depending on how committed you are. That is the time to learn how to do it, not to actually make it.
>>604894Sculpting is easy af.I did picrelated in one evening after 2 years experience of drawing shitty waifu pics and literallly zero experience with 3d.Abandoned it vecause I fucked up the face and my PC cant pull 2M triangles in Blender comfortably.just fucking do it.>make a super crude box-stickman>pose him as you want>sculpt him into a sexy waifu
>>605180That is absolutely still just a shitty waifu.
>>605183and what makes a non shitty waifu? She's only missing hair and skimpu undewear sculpted on top of her.
>>605180I think it goes both ways.My drawings improved after picking up sculpting, and I always said I could not draw.
>>605180>Sculpting is easy af>posts shit-tier sculptGood one, anon...good one.
>>605183>>605243Come on guys... Admit it's pretty good for a first sculpt. Not that anon btw.
>>604894Honestly, it depends.Unless you already have a considerable art background you're looking at 5-10 years before you're in striking distance of that.If you're already a reasonable artist, but you've never working in 3DCG, you can probably get there in a year.
>>605185>and what makes a non shitty waifu?Having a vagina.
>>605267>>and what makes a non shitty waifu?one that can make money ($$) for you
how about mei know art is a continuous journey, but I decided I want to get gud faster. I kicked my hours up to 6-8 hours per day, going to aim for more later on.
>>605143Is that just a toon shader?
>>605357no idea my man
>>605185Not having absolute garbage anatomy and broken limbs? Being some kind of attractive and aesthetically pleasing? This isn’t even stylized anatomy, it’s just bad.
>>605309Keep going anon!I'm actually taking 14 weeks off work soon to concentrate on improving my 3d skills. I only started last summer, and I don't spend on it as much time as I want to.
>>605309What's the artist name and blog for the bottom left pic?
>>605394same as the OP I believeleslyzerosix
>>605412I don't think so, never seen this one among his works, and it doesn't feel like from him.
>>605394グラビアンスキー on pixiv I thinkhttps://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?id=2786808but the zbrush tag in general is pretty gud on pixiv.
>>604906like a couple of weeks in MMD
>>605428Never thought about marking my stuffs with zbrush tag, seems like a good one.
I tried sculpting in Zbrush after Blender and holy shit the interface and the tools feel ATROCIOUS but it can handle much higher ploycounts than Blender. Is Zbrush really worth learning?
>>606048Your mind can't even comprehend how many features zbrush has atm. Ofc it is worth it, and I even like Blender's sculpting. The UI and working with it with a mouse is harder IMO, though, so you'll probably want to buy a tablet if you don't have one already.
>>605248only thing that matters is artistic skill and talent when it comes to sculpting. It's very similar to drawing.I know of people that mainly just draws as practice and then when they do sculpting for work they can make professional level stuff.I personally almost never open up zbrush to practice sculpting but I have gotten a job as a sculpter/modeler even though i probably had less than 300 hours spent in zbrush.Because learning to sculpt in zbrush is not difficult, it's the visual library and artistic ability that's difficult to obtain and for a lot of people it may take half a decade just to get those skills to a sufficient level.
How about for an autistically and artistically inclined person, who has all the tools available, and only knows how to do architectural 3d visualizing? There's a chance that I'll be a neet again and I need to pour my time into something productive.
>>6053092 years for that? Pick up the pace anon.
I heard Zbrush has posable symmetry and I really need it, but I cant fucking find it.>make a ZSphere basemesh and create smart skin>Open Transform menu >No posable symmetry there only local symmetry>Ctrl+N create a basic sphere>Open transform>NO POSABLE SYMMETRYHow the fuck am I supposed to get it?
>>605180You fuckers are the kind of people that fail miserably in any kind of professional situation."Sculpting is easy af", I had people like you apply to our studio. We usually all laugh at the emails.
>>606403Digital sculpting is literally drawing without any of the challenges of drawing like mental rotation or having to think about shadows and bounce light angle etc. Just because the popular sculpting software has impenetrably complex intwntionally awful interface (probably to secure your job) doen't make sculptimg itself a challenging task.
>>606403see>>606408point and laugh.
>>605180All you did was follow some shitty reference image or two off the internet. Am I supposed to be impressed?
How long will it be before I can make and animate something like this? So far I've opened blender a couple of times but I haven't made anything.
>>606799A couple weeks of focused study.
>>606811Thank you. Will you be my valentine?
>>606811No way. Longer.
>>606813Poly modeling, rigging, animation. Everything at a very basic level, in a couple weeks, three perhaps, is doable. We’re not talking here about Pixar quality results, I presume.
>>606848But he probably isn't even familiar with the software yet. Only that will take at least a week.
>>604894If you work hard on your skills, 5 years at least
