This is the first time I'm doing some sculpting work, any thoughts?

(I'm just adding the details here, the base mesh was made in maya)

I wanted to use zbrush first but thought that Mudbox would be easier to get started because I wouldn't struggle with the interface so much

You're angry bedroom furnishing, specifically drawers and closets ? I see, I see. Let it all out.

Do you own a pen tablet or plan on getting one? Every complaint of the ZBrush UI basically falls on the fact that it was designed around the use of one; the incomprehensible navigation suddenly just works, the functions aren't as much of a chore to access, and pressure dramatically changes the feel of sculpting.
In any case, since Mudbox lacks dynamic topology, you're missing out on a lot. Being able to quadrify your mesh as you pull out entirely new geometry is just too convenient, Autodesk really need to catch up in this regard.

No it doesn't. 80% of the people you go ape at with this exact post are trying to use ZBrush with a tablet pen and still find it incomprehensible, stop posting this.

ps. I know it's you because you're the only person on earth who thinks that argument makes any sense
>>

Dunno, it definitely changed things up for me. I won't argue that ZBrush can be shit in a broad sense, but not having to actively click on stuff does change the feel of things to the point where it's more manageable.

What?
>>
>>603071

Maybe I could create some kind of fetish out of this

>>603077

Yes, I do
It's a small bamboo tablet but it does the job

I tried a zbrush trial sometime ago and it was indeed much better than mudbox, those zspheres are so useful and easy to use

desu I opted for mudbox because I'm trying not to pirate so much stuff anymore.

sculptris is a joke
