so I'm editing a part of this model someone made and when I select all the vertices and press F to create a face, it has a weird texture. anybody know what might be causing this?

I could be that the face that is created is stretched over a part of the texture image, just edit the uv mesh
the new face is not UV'd yet, or flipped normals maybe, select it and ctrl + n to recalculate
fixed it. found out it was a problem with the textures the model creator applied to it. thanks for the replies
