Programmer here. Can you guys help me? I'm writing a maya plugin and maya crashes quite often. Does it happen with regular usage or is it my fault? What crash reports are the most common?

You dont "use" maya, you make your models in blender and import to maya like profesionals :)

For Maya, it suddenly starting giving me a fatal error whenever I opened it. Even after doing a clean uninstall/reinstall and doing shit it would do this.
I've temporarily fixed it by going to my documents>maya>(your version's year)>open the maya environment file with notepad> paste "MAYA_DISABLE_CIP=1" in it>save

That worked for a while before it started crashing again. So I also started to delete my preferences folder whenever it crashed and then it would work.

Not every joke is a trolling attempt, if Maya crashes a lot I'll joke about it crashing a lot. I don't feel the need to gloss over all the flaws of my software and pretend that it's perfect, probably because I'm not a Blender user :^)

Why, I've always been tought to model in maya, I mostly use Unity and other engines, why model in Blender, and why export to maya, what does maya have that blender dosent
