Post your artstation faggits
Yeah great idea. and why don't we all just post our facebook profiles and the phone numbers of our employers while we're at it.
>>596693Is there a way to get an Artstation account without an Facebook account? I hate that shit and i won't make one just so i get an artstation account.
>>596700Yeah I have one and it's only linked to my emailPlus you can always use an alias
>>596705Can I register without having to type my real name anywhere? And could I eventually add it back if I wanted to?
>>596709Yeah sureJust add your alias, add your email, which can be set as invisible I think, and shitpost away
>>596718Doesn't work anymore.https://support.artstation.com/knowledge_base/topics/account-verificationThey want Facebook, LinkedIN or SMS authentification. Seems like i have to jump through the hoops and make a LinkedIn account first. bah!
>>596696what do you think will happen? you think anyone really gives a fuck? you people amaze me..
>>596747then post your facebook now
>>596747Ok - go ahead: artstation, Facebook and bosses phone number, now.
>>596725>https://support.artstation.com/knowledge_base/topics/account-verificationDamn. When did Artstation get Jewed?"Email is no longer enough to verify the authenticity of an account as there are many ways to get a free disposable email."ArtStation is now requiring users to verify their account. You can verify your account either via Facebook, LinkedIn or SMS. For simplicity and the added ability to publish your work directly to Facebook and LinkedIn from your account, (((we))) recommend using Facebook or LinkedIn to verify your account."Glad i made an account before the verification shit started.
>>596725Look how butthurt they are about people complaining:"Hey this verification system is really lame""If you feel this verification is lame, don't use ArtStation. Simple. It really doesn't bother us because we know the system works and it has not affected our growth at all. We continue to grow leaps and bounds with high quality artists. This system is actually keeping out the lame users.THIS SYSTEM IS KEEPING OUT THE LAME USERSPlease don't email us about this being an invasion of privacy, etc. We won't respond to those emails. Hundreds of thousands of people use ArtStation without a problem. If you don't agree with this verification step, just don't use ArtStation. You can cancel your account on the verification page."
>>596693I would but I don't have a camara :(((((
>>597017Oh wait your talking about the website, well I feel silly.
No Artstaions was even posted. Well imma start out.https://www.artstation.com/stann_coBe nice.
>>596796>>Look how butthurt they are about people complaining:Wait, you post that because you think it's *them* who is buthurt? Er, no - the butthurt people are all on here, moaning about the fact they can't use Artstation as another shitposting platform. If this thread is anything to go by- they're completely right to implement these measures. But yeah, they've been 'jewed' and they're the ones who are butthurt.
>>596748why the fuck should I post Facebook here? i mean what's the point? I still can not see the logic in all this BS... you post artstation on /3. and? I don't use artstation, so i'll post Instagram.. https://www.instagram.com/gam3_b0y/
>>597034Seems like you have better compositing/animation skills that model/texture skills. You might want to work on that. And stop making memes. Jesus christ.
>>597044I remember this one.>>597035Honestly I don't think it's really a bad thing. But as someone who doesn't have any of those things, fuck 'em I guess.
>>597067If i ain't allowed to giggle it ain't worth living. Will work more on texture skills tho. Note that i have never strived for realism, it's really not worth trying when you know you can't get close.
>>597069>I can't live without my memes broMaybe just tone it down a bit then.>never strived for realismI don't think that's really the issue. Everything has the late 2000s feel to it, like it's all 10 years old.The fact that you have some animations on there shows work ethic, but the actual quality of the models seems a bit dated. Push yourself a bit harder and I think you'll be a good stylized artist.
>>597072Allright, i get'cha.
>>597035Looks like we've found an artstation employee lol
>>597305Yeah you got me pal, excellent detective work.I guess it's because the only people who would think the douchebags in this thread and on this board are a bunch fucking talentless douchedbags who need to be contained here and prevented from spreading outside are employees of Artstation. Of course.
>>597072>Everything has the late 2000s feel to itno it has deliberate "Meme" art style, which is: "trying to look like shit". it is popular between meme people, because any person without art background can add emotions to their memes. you can even say who already got better, but was doying that style. or started drawing animes, because that shit leaves marks >>597076you will never get better if you won't drop that depry artstyle
>>597034>>597069>>597076why do you have ads on a fuckin showreeldo you even realise how retarded that is ?
>>597330>no it has deliberate "Meme" art styleOh yeah. I couldn't place it before, but you're right.
>>597394Why are you wasting your time on meme centric garbage instead of work that is visually impressive or pushes your boundaries?
>>597034>https://www.artstation.com/stann_co>Directorlol, keep telling yourself that.
>>597634>Your timeFilename, anon. It's some devianturd's model.
>>597072How can everything have a late 2000s feel if we're still in the early 2000s?
>>597634I didn't know everything needed to be visually impressive and/or push boundaries. I am sorry anon, thank you for elucidating me.
>>597660If you want to keep driving to your job at walmart on your shitty scooter, sure it doesn't have to be.
>>597649Blew my mind.
>>597692Again, I did not know everyone who did 3D as a fun hobby works a menial job in a place like walmart. Thank you again senpai, you are just fucking my mind with raw knowledge.
>>597692Target, but close enough. :^)
https://www.artstation.com/vorontsovI can do better but here's what I have on my "portfolio"
>>597820>I can do better than what's in my portfolio.Isn't the point of your portfolio to have your best work?
>>597865I'm busy working on projects that are below the skill level of what I could put on my portfolio, if that makes sense
I have 0 followers, not even a pity follow the last time I posted mine.Won't make that mistake again
>>597635If i have directed projects. What else would you want me to call it.
>>599717I would call you pretentious, unless you can prove it.
Artstation?I use deviantart. Guess I'm not cool enough for you fags.
>>596794Haha, holy shit.>people will still fall for this bullshitThe only way I would ever sign up for that shit now is on a 99 cent burner sim.
>>597660Looks like your animations are made using Source Filmmaker correct? You should try to make animations in Blender instead; you’ll get more knowledge on how to make a scene look better and be able to control more properties of how the final render will look. (Plus Blender is also free.)
>>597034>https://www.artstation.com/stann_cowasn't that character used for a Saxxys entry?
>>597044>https://www.instagram .com/gam3_b0y/fb.com / Gam3B0yzeroyou have alot of friends god damn
>>597305But he is right. Its a private website and they can do whatever they want, nobody is forcing you to use it, just like nobody is forcing you to use facebook. Why is understanding capitalism so difficult for some people?
>>600870jiiizas... I did not even remembered that this photo existed, you've seen many photos of mine to get to this ))I mean... I get the point, maybe someone will see through your private shit, but you kinda did this to prove point, otherwise, I don't think you would have posted my photo, which again, who cares. anyway, backtracking can be done from literally one wip pic, or anything, but nobody cares in reality. >you have alot of friends yeah.. but now I'm in "self imposed exile" to git gud )))
>>600910>I don't think you would have posted my photolol are you new?
>>602216lol, no )) would he have done it, if i had not said anything and just posted my artstation?
>>597034>Be niceDon't post shit like that then
>>599717>If i have directed projectsDescribe "directed" please
>>602510>>602512stop peaking up on director chan!!!
>>604776is this white hair that you have?
>>604785no, it's dark blonde + shit lighting
i pick that photo
>>596794I had my account beforehand, then just one random day it asked me to verify with Facebook, LinkedIn or some other social media account or i wouldn't be able to post my 3D work. That same day I deleted all my shitpost and all my controversial and wrong think from all my social platforms. I don't wanna get blacklisted. Some of my work has gone trending on artstaion even editors picks.
>>604877I just deleted all my social media (twitter, Fbook) , but kept LinkedIn.Is Twitter and Fbook even necessary? I had some famous video game and film director following me back, but I wasn't getting much out of either . Feel like these platforms are popularity contests.I might open an artstation . Kind of going through Twitter withdraws but honestly social media just annoys the crap out of me.
>>604924There's a growing backlash against Facebook and Twitter. No one can reasonably make a case now that you *must* have one or both of these to be 'professional.' I never had FB but deleted Twitter about two years ago because it was making me insane. Artstation is great. It's non-obtrusive, professional, and there's no such thing as shitposting on Artstation. It can't be compared to social media really.
>>604930Fbook was awful. Got off that a while ago. Got off Twitter recently. That got annoying too
>>604943Ex FB and Google employees are coming out the woodwork like crazy, blowing whistles and sounding alarms all over the place that the companies they used to work for are actively trying to rip the fabric of society apart - and they've already succeeded to some extent.I will never use social media again, and the smartphone I have now will be my last: when it dies I'm going back to a dumbphone. When health experts AND the people that built the fucking platforms are all saying 'these tools are designed to make you go insane, and they're very good at it' no employer or anyone else is gonna insist on me using them without a legal fight: I have a precarious mental health - and they want to force me to use tools that possibly put mental health at risk? Sounds like workplace discrimination to me....
>>604924>>604930>>604943>>605024I feel the same about social media. For me, it’s a source of distraction and a waste of time. Part of this is my own fault, but the designers of these sites work actively to have that kind of behavioral effect on their users. So fuck ’em.Re professionality, nothing says professional more than a proper, traditional portfolio site listed on a business card or in your email signature.
>>605155This guy gets it.I wonder how many Pepedouche alt-retards have been created by social media, that otherwise would've decent useful members of society? I wonder how many of the keyboard-Aryans that frequent even this little board right here would own up to the fact that - when they really think about it - they allowed themselves to be seduced by a dopamine-driven feedback loop that comes from joining in in a 'conversation' where everything you say is welcomed and liked by a group of people you've never met, who all seem to value your contribution, because they've come to depend upon that exact same feedback loop they've brought you into. If I'm being honest - it nearly happened to me. I took a passing interest in GG around 2014 and I could feel myself getting sucked in by all the Milos and Cernovichs and retards like that - I found myself just saying shit I didn't really believe or even knew was damaging and harmful purely because it was so welcomed by this coterie of fuckheads. Luckily I managed to snap the fuck out of it and come to my senses. Taking any kind of interest in internet culture wars is like a stepping into the middle point between two equally powerful black holes - SJW fuckwits on one side, racist fuckwits on the other. And if you're not conscious or mature enough - you'll get lured into either one of those holes with their promise of the comfy dopamine-feedback they offer and before you know it, its *real* fucking hard to pull yourself back out. Don't get involved. Ever. (btw if you're gonna flame me and post frog memes or whatever or throw a load of racist shit around because of this post - have at it, but it may save you some time to know you're not gonna get a response from me. Do what you want).
>>605203"MUH RACISM"You sound like some useless fence sitter and a coward...just like all other centrist-type sissies.Get involved, let your voice be heard, make an impact on people...no matter if its positive or negative.I'll march with that swastika flag and my AR-15 as long as I please...and I will step over types like you on the way, just for the sake of pissing you off.You are nothing.
>>605245It’s a free country, man. Do whatever you want. I’ll be eating popcorn instead.
>>597034verry nice anon your anim skills are good.ever think about games
>>605203it always baffles me why that shit never affected me?? then when I looked into it, I understood that people who are carawing for useless likes are people who have no friends and real social circle... Soc media is a great tool to keep in contact with people, WHOM YOU KNOW. I don't add people who I don't know personally on Facebook, why the fuck would I even want that? never had twitter tho. >>605245>Get involved, let your voice be heard, make an impact on peopleonly impact you are making is on yourself. either positive or negative.
>>605245oh and the biggest impact you are making is empowering ALT left feminists, who are same shit like you. that's why their words matter.
If I post my artstation can we do a follow for follow, like for like type thing?
>>608581That would be nepotism, and we don't like nepotism, do we?
>>608598Its only bad if the others do it.
>>608598you're kidding me right? if you don't look out for your own there's no communitybut real talk i followed everyone here and not a single person followed me back, fuck y'all
How about this instead:We post the Artstations... we wish we had.
heres mine i just made iti'm a designer but i reckon i'm also a good artist XDhttps://www.artstation.com/endymionus
>>605203du wut ye wuntzz
>>596693Anyone retarded enough to associate their professional profiles/works with this website doesn't deserve to be employed.
>>605203Holy fuck this is the most pretentious bullshit I've seen in a long time. You really think you're so fucking smart and above it all when you're just another dunning-kruger.
>>612806>Re professionality, nothing says professional more than a proper, traditional portfolio site listed on a business card or in your email signature.>traditional portfolio sitewageslave modeller or texture "artist" detected
I already posted some of my work here already and I have no intention of gaining employment in this field.https://www.artstation.com/cheinu
>>612810boy this is disappointing, the few followers and likes I even had are disappearing because they were bots or something.
>>612809>>business card>wageslaveEver heard of freelancing?
>>612810would die by that axe/10Fucking awesome, man.
>>605245>this supreme edge selectionare u gonna model the ar-15 for fallout 4 and dress your girl character up as a nazi? wow so cool man!
>>613272Already did that 2 years ago, brainlet.
>>613282hooh, be careful you might select the whole loop
am i right to be proud of this?
>>614794Well it's just a sledgehammer but it looks great, I could definitely see it as a weapon in a AAA game.
>>614794Hammers are great and all but anvils man. Anvils is where it's at.
