What do you guys think of the new sketchup web app?

you can get access the whole component store quite fast, im sure it will be good for some quick fun

downside is you cant access any plugins which is the biggest draw for sketchup from a proffessional standpoint

Should I get into sketchup as my first 3D program? Will it cause difficulties if I decide to move to more advanced 3D programs in the future (different UI/workflow/habits)?

skp workflow is drastically different from other programs

If you want a free program and are more interested in modeling environments/hard surface stuff/architecture then skp is great. Very easy to start using.

The best to get into if you want to get into architecture, hands down.

Yes, doh! if you learn sketchup before anything else, is a misstake for life. Learning anything but sketchups UI will be practically impossible afterwards.

Thanks, my end goal is making meme alien fantasy creatures in Zbrush, so I'll probably start with something else anyways
