Reeeeeeeee why can't I find any 3D modeling software than let me do a section view / temporary plane cut, fix some internal structures, and then go back to normal?

Gif extremely related, it is the thing I am trying to accomplish.

Any suggestions are much appreciated...

Dam that /gif/ quality is terrible srry bout that.

Because if the internal structures won't be in view, then it's really wasteful to even model them in.

I am 3D printing this in clear though, and would like to see the internal structure, that is the reasoning

select faces and hide them?

Blender does that. Do alt+b
>>
Not to be a troll or anything, but Blender has this. Shortcut is Alt+B, you lasso-select an area of interest and it gives you a slice view.

Probably because you're using inferior destructive non-procedural programs instead of Houdini.
