What's khan academy? There's gotta be a catch somewhere right?
>>591077>What's khan academy? It's a teach yourself math thing. It's all free, they survive off a combination of donations and software they sell to teachers that want to create a classroom thing with itI guess it's expanding
>>591077I don't think there's a catch, in my country there's a company that does the same thing for programming.
Oh, that's Pixar in a box. Thought they made something new and got hyped. Yeah, it's completely free and it's a great course, I'll continue watching it now that they put out a lot more content. Got sick of waiting for every new episode when it started out.But I don't know if I'm autistic, but I'm constantly bitching that everyone - all the online courses, even my uni courses, are not going in-depth enough. This is a decent course, but it is still pretty basic. Fuck you, give me a 1000-page book of usage of color in visual arts, not some "tips and tricks to git gooder", like wtf.

>>591106I learned a good amount just from taking an Art History elective. Professor knew his shit
>>591119Can you define "a good amount"? What did you learn there?
>>591122The history of art
>>591127You know what I mean... Anyway, it was probably still very basic and general.
>>591122I do /3/stuff for a hobby, and I'm not artistically inclined otherwise. But I did learn color theory, composition, framing, field of view, perspective, color in relation to: mood, conveying emotions, capturing a time period or aesthetic, etcProf went over this stuff so we could appreciate the history he was going to teach. It was a very accessible course desired for non-art majors.
>>591077khan academy helped me a lot during school to understand calculus. it truly is a great site. theres another similar one but i cant remember what its called for more general subjects.
>>591112Digital tutors generally has decent stuff, if you're in school see if you can get a free subscription for learning sites, my college got me free access to digital tutors and lynda.com
>>591268Yeah I'm working through some digital tutors content right now, pretty good stuff
