What do you think of Sculptris, Pixologics watered-down zbrush for 3d print enthusiasts? Pic unrelated.

It wasn't meant to be a watered down zbrush, it was a competing free product that had an awesome dynamic mesh algorithm. And so Pixologic bought it to take its tech to create dynamesh for Zbrush and then do nothing interesting with Sculptris, since the only real goal was taking the tech and getting rid of a promising competitor.

They came much later, after the paper Sculptris was based on had become more widespread, and none of them managed to equel the feel of Sculptris.
