hey /3/, I come from /g/ and I wonder if I can curb from doing fullstack web development to some 3D modeling/animation. I have some experience with art but i mostly leave that to the design team.
Is Blender a good way to start practicing? thanks

Blender is perfectly capable for 3d. It takes some time to get used to the Blender way of doing things. I have spent an entire day or two customizing my hotkeys (my Blender is now 99% hotkeys, which is perfect for a programmer, no meme UI loaded with useless buttons) and writing a bunch of custom scripts.
However, the "industry" is mostly into maya/c4d/3dsmax, but once you know one 3d software, you can always transition.

BUT 3d is legit difficult to get into. It's better as a hobby than as a job. I fucking hate webdev and distance from it as much as possible, but it's a much better paid than 3d (also more job offers).

What do you consider difficult in 3D? Genuinely interested because I still haven't hit that plateau where I seemingly can't improve anymore. My knowledge and skill rises in a constant rate after 6 months still. Actually kinda worrying about it a bit, but I do have high standards.

The best way to learn 3d modeling is to learn TOPOLOGY,Nowadays all next gen 3d models are based on topology,It will allow you to create high def normal maps to use on your games,Just ,practice,practice,practice..
