hey /3/, I come from /g/ and I wonder if I can curb from doing fullstack web development to some 3D modeling/animation. I have some experience with art but i mostly leave that to the design team.Is Blender a good way to start practicing? thanks
>>584092>/g/ay PHP/lincuck wants to become a blenderfag (a blenderfag!) for a livingAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHAAAHHHAHAHAAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA Why don't you try to find a buried treasure instead sweetie?
>>584093You're not supposed to be on 4chan if you're 12.
>>584097>collaterally butthurt blenderfagHow about you stop being a cheap fuck and pay for an actual license of an actual professional software?
>>584104>paying for a personal license>not having your company pay for itCuck.
>>584093>>584104>getting this upset over software>even ironically
>>584104I'm actually a Mayafag, nice try manchild. I'm not stupid enough to shit on a good software because it's free and it isn't a industry standard. While you jack off to your software some people are actually getting shit done in their own.
>>584092Don't ask here, there's only shit answers. If you want to get hired learn maya but I think blender is a better program. Why do you want to curve? This is a much worse industry to work in.
>>584092>Is Blender a good wayNo.
>>584092Blender is perfectly capable for 3d. It takes some time to get used to the Blender way of doing things. I have spent an entire day or two customizing my hotkeys (my Blender is now 99% hotkeys, which is perfect for a programmer, no meme UI loaded with useless buttons) and writing a bunch of custom scripts. However, the "industry" is mostly into maya/c4d/3dsmax, but once you know one 3d software, you can always transition.BUT 3d is legit difficult to get into. It's better as a hobby than as a job. I fucking hate webdev and distance from it as much as possible, but it's a much better paid than 3d (also more job offers).
>>584189What do you consider difficult in 3D? Genuinely interested because I still haven't hit that plateau where I seemingly can't improve anymore. My knowledge and skill rises in a constant rate after 6 months still. Actually kinda worrying about it a bit, but I do have high standards.
>>584191not this poster but for meuv unwrapping and setting up a scene might be difficult for the first few projects
>>584191>6 monthsCome on dude. What is 3D for you? Modelling soda cans or something?
The best way to learn 3d modeling is to learn TOPOLOGY,Nowadays all next gen 3d models are based on topology,It will allow you to create high def normal maps to use on your games,Just ,practice,practice,practice..
>>584104>of an actual professional softwarehttps://en.oxforddictionaries.com/grammar/countable-nounscome back when you're not a pajeet, sweetie
>>584448As I explained here >>584078 , the convention used by most dictionaries is wrong, and I am right. I know more about softwares and english than they do, and the language doesn't even have academy to standardize it, so no one gets to say I'm wrong. The plural of software is softwares, and you're still a triggered Blenderfag.
>>584092Well, you see this thread. Welcome to /3/ OP, you won't find shit here. This is literally worst place to look for an answer for anything.
>>584496A triggered blenderfag? you're the one here looking for trouble and talking shit about a software you know nothing about. And we all know you aren't paying for your softwares you hypocrite. I can't wait until Autodesk audits your ass.
