I did this without a ref sheet. How's my splash woman model so far?
terrible, you should watch real tutorials, if those are not understood go back to basicsand im not saying "terrible" often, and that means you need to watch more tutorials.a good mesh starts with good polygonal modeling, you don't have the subdivide the shit out of your model to make it look good, smooth shading is enough
>>579385This. Burn that shit and start over.
I like it and considering you've done it in Blender, I think it's a miracle that it came out this good or at all.
>>579385If it's the head that's bothering you, I'm redoing it.
>>579398have you watched any tutorials on character creation?you don't take a nosedive into a program with thousands of different functions, not without instructions
>>579403I always watch tutorials on how to do things before I do them. I'm not as foolish as you think I am.
>>579377you need to learn anatomy, just like a traditional sculptor
>>579409You could have just said that so I would have thought of a more dignified response. I'll admit, I took some liberties on the tail. However I have studied anatomy for months. Anyway, thank you for actually giving me criticism this time.
>>579410I've been studying are for the past while. You anatomy makes no sense. What you should do is first follow a tutorial to make something similar to what you want, then use that knowledge to make your own.
>>579377This looks like a shitty Ratboy reject.Either start over after watching a lot of tutorials or quit.
>>579377What the people above me are actually saying is this:You have an idea of what you want to make, but you haven't yet trained yourself in how to break that idea down into parts, how to hold onto the "big picture" while working on the little pieces, and you haven't learned how to use the tools in a complex and sophisticated way (which often involves some non-intuitive esoteric shit that can only be learned by watching other people).Keep at it bud, start with short tutorials so you feel good about having a finished product, then move on to longer tutorials until you're doing a tutorial series.
>>579410After studying anatomy for months, didn't you found out thumbs go the other way?
>>580176thumbs can go any way, they have joints
>>580183Please be bait.
>>580206can't it be jokes and not an attempt at making people angry
>>579377you are obviously a maya employee posting bad models to indirectly trash the blender brandfuck you
Her hands are on backwards you fucking idiot.
>>580258Just because the guy is using Blender it doesn't mean he doesn't know what he's doing. The hands look right to me. They're harmonic to the rest of the body.
Do we really need two threads for this junk?
>>579377>I did this without a ref sheet.Well there's your problem, it looks nothing like the character. You need to do her good character design justice.
>>579377head is badshould redo itshoulders to neck do not work that waypls check google/online resources even if you don't want to use a sheet
>>579377Elbows don't work that way either. Anatomy is a thing.Also. like what many above had said. If that is a thumb on your hands. its in the wrong direction. Fingers also lack segments
>>579377You said earlier that you have learnt anatomy.I see neither anatomy nor proportion here.
>>579377absolute shitone of the worst models ive ever seenstart over with some refs and realize that almost everything in this character is curved/roundget your proportions rightwork with separate pieces instead of 1 big blob
this thread was made by the anti-blender shitposter. no need to feed the beast, please ignore.mods if you read this please ban him
I mean this was funny for like first 24 hours, now it's just getting pathetic. If you're not trolling OP then fucking quit this project and start with modeling some simplier things. Organic shit is at least intermediate
Nigga your thumbs are in the wrong direction
>>580527Op here. I realize this was a mistake and postponed the project. You can stop harassing me now.
