What is the best & fastest way to model this game asset? I have a couple ideas in mind but I would like to hear from more experienced users.

NASA has the complete model available for download on their website, and since they're a government organization its public domain

fastest way would be to download that and retopo it.

I'm not sure they have one with this level of detail

Which is why I'm wondering what's the best way to model those types of panels out

they're just a bunch of squares

Make a path along the vertices at the top of each row of faces, model one square, and then use an array to make them follow the path all the way around
