My probation is starting soon and im scared as fk couse I have to prove myself to hopefully get hired and If I mess up I feel like I will never find a job and give up on 3D for good. I worked once before at a small indie company for 7 months and its been a pain to find something else since then.Any advices to not screw this up ?
Get tatted up, something 3d related, somewhere visible.
>>569368Who would want to work in this field. It seems like hell.I love 3D, but I'm an accountant because I want to eat.
>>569370accountants are going to be replaced by AI really really soon. Only artists will be left desu
>>569370True, but thats the only thing I can do well. I have some graphics skills, but 0 experience. For the past 2 years I focused only on 3D. Apart from that I was helping my family with their wholesale business and I was thinking about taking it over, but I dunno...
>>569371Yeah, they said that anout my job 15, 10, 5, and 1 year(s) ago.So far so good.
>>56937315, 10 years ago they didnt even have iphones m8. You are cooked.
>>569368Worked for them on some zombie titles, they arent that great at all compared to other AAA studios. Show us some work, will tell you if you fit. Dont get dtoo drunk on company party and dont delete whole fucking project repo from server and you'll be good.
Are u from Poland OP? If so, which university have you done?
>>569368the fuck is a probationi assume you passed the initial selection?then why you give a shit, i assume unless you literally shit on someones desk you get the job
>>569374>10 years ago they didnt even have iphones m8they literally had iphones 10 years ago.
>>569371They won't mass implement this until AI can fudge numbers like a person can
>>572051>the fuck is a probationnever had a job?
>>569371Dude, I take you haven't heard of Generative Adversarial Networks. They started from 10x10 binarized single digits and in three years they are producing realistic 1024x1024 human faces.I'll be extremely surprised if they can't learn from booru tags and generate me a perfectly drawn waifu with my desired qualities by 2025.Your days are numbered.
>>572135photorealism is not the only goal, and for those to be a threat to any jobs itll need to be a good 20 years down the line.also photogrammetry can already do that
>>572158>photorealism is not the only goalso you're a brainlet toothe fact that it evolved from 8x8 to photorealism in a couple of years means that it's improving fast, not that photorealism is the goallooking forward to you losing your job
>>572238you misunderstood methe problem is with quantifying aesthetic beauty, there is research in the area but it isn't art directable. you can train on particular data sets and generate anything from picasso paintings from images to other perspectives but at the moment generalization performance and the insane classification problems that arise from trying to train on data sets more subtle than say picasso. so we want to optimize as much as possible and figure out data sets perfectly say we want a breakthough in empirical risk minimization in the next 5 years so we can replace every artist (and ignore the sociopolitical reaction to the notion) we'd have solved an NP hard problem and are already in the realm of science fiction
>>572275>say we want a breakthough in empirical risk minimization in the next 5 years so we can replace every artist (and ignore the sociopolitical reaction to the notion) we'd have solved an NP hard problem and are already in the realm of science fiction...did you forget to take your medication this morning you literal retard?
