>>
I wish the adobe suite was on Linux.
>>
>everything is on a subscription model
Don't even worry about it, I'm not giving away money perpetually.

>P-please... trade in your old permanent license for a monthly one... you'll get... uhm... you'll get... more... SUPPORT! You don't want that ratty old permanent license. Take a look at this nice monthly one!

How about no, faggot? Also I use Maya LT cause I'd rather use a software with millions in RnD and supports than Blender. Use whatever the fuck you want, just don't grace us with your shit opinion next time.
>>
>>569310
>with millions in RnD and supports

You sure do need all that to make your shitty Unity assets, anon. :^)
>>
>>569355
I don't make assets for engine stores anon, I work for an Arch Vis company. Sorry you're angry most of the industry doesn''t use Blender.
>>
>>569390
>le industry may may
what industry?
>>
>>569391
0/10 faggot.
>>
>>569391
Pretty much any professional industry doesn't have majority Blender. The only market I can think of is the diaperscat furry community on Deviantart which does actually use a lot of Blender/Free programs.

>Pretty much any professional industry
stopped reading here
>>
>>569199
How about one uses whatever software he or she damn well pleases
>>
>>569413
Good. Because all the industries are primarily paid software, not freeware. Like I said, enjoy your diaperfur scat deviantart tier markets which primarily use Blender. It's not a competition so you should use whatever software you want. Just don't pretend most professionals use Blender, because it's not the industry standard.

I use blender as a video editor and there's nothing you can do about it.

go be corporate shill elsewhere.
>>
>>569422
wow don't be hostile man!
then what professionals use?? mental ray? haha you learn mental ray for years only to use vray in the end.
such a sad life in the industry.
and 3ds max? why you have to switch between maya and 3ds all the time? why can't autodesk unify both programs?
>>
>>569529
You could use DaVinci Resolve as a free video editor.
>>
>>569390
A number of archivis companies use blender, dumbass, but not with cycles of course, with vray.
To be honest, though they all always cry about one issue, no mat/object library.
>>
>>569199
I don't know... the look on his face tells me he doesn't mind. If anything seems perfectly happy with it.
>>
>>569559
the majority of archviz companies that use blender use corona and sometimes vray. but sometimes cycles too.

its not impossible to make interiors in cycles. just very annoying because of the noise perhaps, i think that cycles tiles renders differently .
pic related is cycles but you can see how intrusive is the noise
>>
>>569559
He's not saying that companies don't use Blender retard. He's saying that the majority of any professional industry whether it be movies, games, or indeed arch vis use majority paid software like Autodesk, zBrush, or etc. And he's right, Blender is not a majority market holder in any professional industry. It is however used by some professionals and companies. It's called reading comprehension breh.
>>
>>569571
yeah but he said he works for an archivz company and i think he tried to imply that real archviz can only be done in 3dsmax or someshit that old geezers believe
>>
>>569575
If you actually read the reply chain like I just did, you'd know that response was to a shitposter. I don't see any implication that arch vis users can't use Blender and I think you pretty much sperged out for no reason.
>>
As a IT Admin working for a police department, it's great to use tax payer money on software
>>
>>569199
why is paid software bad ?
>>
>>569307
fucking bingo.
>>
>>569310
touchy little bitch? Perhaps if such talent is insulted with a vote towards open source.

Please tell us what free texturing alternatives that are better than what he listed.
>>

MUH GIMP
>>
>>569554

I could do a lot of things but blender works fine. I might check that out though.
>>
>>569638
don't police departments usually pirate their software?
>>
>>569918
Mostly just office 07, Adobe acrobat, Norton, and a few cjis tools. But our budget gets eaten up by support/maintenance costs, cell phones plans, new computers and mobile devices, contracts for improvements, etc. We just spent $750,000 for computers, software, and video recorders for 60 new vehicles. So the bean counters in fiscal or the commander or chief will question or stop us from purchasing individual licenses for a new version office or Windows, but will gladly pay a $15,000 monthly sprint bill.

t. someone who doesn't know how to crack programs.
