Anyone tried running zbrush/keyshot/photoshop and other 3d programms on AMD Ryzen?
How is it?
Here's a vid from Pavlovich, shows sick results in keyshot, but I wanna real people experiences.

be carefuly with AMD tech. Hollywood and silicon alley centered companies love to ignore it.

Waste of time until zbrush is 64 bit.

I thought Pavlovich would be a nerd. Is this the power of Ryzen.

...What? As of 4r7 it is 64-bit, and 4r8 (that silently disappeared) is dropping 32-bit completely.

I was thinking about it, but went for 2011 with 8core/16 threads xeon and I'm shocked when I keyshot ... was not expecting such speed

but I have redshift... I I have not yet used it for zbrush, coz I'm busy :((

They seem pretty good for workstation use. Personally I will probably still go with the x99 platform when I upgrade (or maybe x299 if that turns out to be worthwhile). I'd like to be able to stick 4 GPUs in a machine for GPU rendering, and the lack of PCIe lanes on Ryzen kind of kills that.

Maybe by the time I'm ready to actually upgrade there will be proper Zen workstation/server chips with 40+ lanes.

It's only a beta test thats not fully finished. Performance between the two versions is negligible.

Pavlovich looks and acts awkward as shit.

Just because someone takes care of their body does not automatically make them Chad.

They did say there will be a HEDT platform in the 2nd half of 2017. But then Zen 2 will be right around the corner

>ebay?

I did this too, holy shit the cheap used silicon out there. I built a dual socket E5 2687w V2 box.

Naples. Q2. And Intel's next big Xeon line soon too, so keep an eye on eBay as datacenters dump cheap used Xeons.
