A-are you unreal faggots for real about this shit? VISUAL SCRIPTING ?!!!! Unity is so much better than this crap. I cant believe anyone uses this shit.

>Pick Blueprints
>WHAT THE FUCK THIS USES BLUEPRINTS?!
>>
>>553449
unity > ue4, get over it.
>>
>>553446
Unity and Unreal can do great jobs both, unity have more tutorials but unreal seems easier with the node system thing
>>
Garantueed replies.
>>
>>553454
unreal has awful nodes and graphs for every fucking thing, Its insufferable
>>
>using blueprints for mathematical operations

Lmao

But really. Just use cpp, or are you too stupid?
>>
>>553459
cpp is dogshit ancient crap. Its 2017. c# or js in unity is the only way. Unity is much less shitty as well.
>>
>>553460

Lmao confirmed retard who can't code cpp
>>
>>553461
confirmed idiot who cant into c# / js
>>
>>553462

I primarily use c# at work dummy
>>
>>553463
lol sounds like you're just some dumb hobbyist who doesnt know wtf
>>
>>553464

I AM a hobbiest game dev. I work as a programmer too.

who uses that in unity?
is (current year)
>>
>>553467

Because I refuse to work with others since most people are totally useless idiot "indie devs". Which ultimately means I have to learn everything from modelling, animation, rigging, level design, etc etc... Takes time, man.

And at the end of the day I don't need the income from releasing a game, I just kinda wanna make a game that I personally would really enjoy, since I haven't played any games in years now because they all suck.
>>
So don't use it. Write all your code in notepad++ and ignore babby's first blueprint.
>>
>>553485
sounds like you're some babby who doesnt actually have any love for the medium and hasnt even tried any of the thousands of games being released each year including vr games yet hates them anyway. You must be retarded. Why even post here
>>
>>553487

I not only have the Oculus dev kit 1 & 2, but I own CV1 and Vive.

I buy practically every game that's released, and do technically play them, but I get bored almost instantly so I don't really PLAY them.

And yeah, having the desire to become a game dev and dedicated much of my free time learning multiple skill sets to make a great game I can enjoy means I have ZERO love for the medium. Nice logic there dumbass.
>>
>>553489
there's two sides to every story. I would hate to be so clearly deluded as you. I didnt even know anyone could get this deluded
>>
>>553490

lmao what the fuck are you talking about? Can't believe I got trolled.. Goddamnit
>>
>>553491
just kill yourself
>>
>>553489
You mean you buy practically every trashy AAA game released. Steam releases an average of like 8 games a day.
Played Hollow Knight yet? Game is objectively good quality.
>>
>>553446
>I cant believe anyone uses this shit.
No one does. Unreal developers write code in C++. Unity C# is MS garbage.

Well, people do use the visual scripting for materials in UE because it's better than anything else out there.
>>
>>553446
I use blueprints. Makes workload lighter. It's also a good bonus that I'm very much a visual learner, so it's up my alley.
>>
>>>/vg/agdg
>>>/g/dpt
>>
UE 4.15 now has Blueprint to C++ nativity, meaning it's fully convertible now. You can get the overview of what you want in blueprint, and then if you need specific changes or optimization, go into C++.

why is the average member of any tech community so insufferable
>>
>>553580
Really? How hard is it to go to cpp after years of c#? I wrote some basic programs (Riemann calculators) in cpp for calculus, but nothing anywhere near as complex as what I do in c#
