need help b/ros so I'm kinda new to maya and I'm busting my balls mearning it and loving it etc... but my I7 died :'( so ai'm stuck with Intel q9550 and Arnold does mot support my CPU, I'm broke as shit at this time because My work stops at summer time.. so ai ron'y have any chance to buy new cpu
so what options do I have for maya 2017 besides of arnold?? pic related my work ))

beseids of arlold you onl'y options at summer is to get new l7 because of Maya is busting bals for real. maya is 2017 now so your work has verry uncanny valley and in titteis.

Compliments on your work, however I can definitely sense the uncanny valley in her face. The organic tentacles are an interesting choice; I wanted to suggest cyber punk/goth tendrils for that portion of the design. Also the color and tone you've given her flesh is something you should definitely consider keeping, it's pretty cool.

when I rendered that image it was the first day when I got how to actually use HDRI i vray, because somehow all these fucks in tutorials do some apeshit instead of dragging a picture in fucking dome light ...

as I said I'm kinda new in all of this and character animation is my goal, and it happened that now I liked modeling/texturing also

because I'm pretty lazy(actually I'm not I'm doing 3d 24/7) and don't like modeling so much I want animation but I really love texturing so far, and I want to have my own characters to animate,
(I have drawing skills so I know how to work with colors and I know anatomy not only from artistic, but also from medical side D: so I think sculpting will help me overall? no?
the only thing I don't like in Zbrush artists I really don't see point in sculpting this very high detailed character if he will do nothing ever, for me 3d is nothing without animation...
