Quick question. Is there a way to make an swf of a low poly model so the user can rotate it and maybe change the camera/materials?
>>
Just use Unity.
swf is over.

Thanks, I actually was going to try Unity but I'm not sure the website is compatible with Unity

I'm hoping sketchfab or marmoset viewer someday allow substance support in the viewer so you could change settings on the fly.

What are you, uploading it on furaffinity, or something?
>>
>>530484
So long as someone has the web player installed (there should be a prompt to install it if it isn't. Only like 12mb) then they're good to go. It doesn't matter if a site is compatible or not.

See?

Asa matter of fact, yes. I know I could upload a render and put a link in the description to an external site but it would be nice to have my dicks spinning on furaffinity.

It only works in Windows, though.

Please.
Also don't listen to retards saying you have to use unity for that. Html canvas with 3d context.

unity supports webgl nowadays
>>
>>530719
Do you need an addon for that though?
Installing something for a simple purpose that's supported in most modern browsers because it's basically standard now is everything that's wrong with the world.

the webgl build capability was meant to replace the unity3d plugin for browsers, since chrome doesn't support it anymore

Thanks! I'll see what I can do with that info. I've been dicking around with 3d software for years but never felt like showing it, so I'm way out of date

If what >>530721 says is true, then unity seems to build to js and webgl.
I still don't see a reason not to use something lighter for that purpose.

> don't use a framework built into the browser, use a .NET runtime that browsers won't embed!!!!

you have to be 18+ to post on 4chan
>>
>>531382
are you talking about the old unity plugin, or the new webgl? The webgl builds are just .js files that use html5 and webgl.

yea, its bytecode conversion from c#/c++ to javascript, but in the end it doesn't matter

I'd argue that its much easier to use unity to build your interactive 3d showcase than a js framework like three.js (or manually coded canvas stuff). What would you suggest for the 18+ community here on 4chan?
