Hello gods of 3D. I want to know if theres a way to apply my bump map in Marmoset Toolbag?? I searched about it, but theres no metion avout bumps, only normals, albedo(diffuse), displacement, and reflections map....
>>529385>gods of 3DI think the site you're looking for is callled polycount
>>529385Show us the map. I think you mean displacement map.>>529389Fuck off.
bump map don't work in the same wayits like a secondary texture that overlay on the original texture, and its an old tech by now
>>529391This is an old tech, or bump map is old?>>529390I dont have the map yet of my model, but i already searched for a bump map in marmoset, and i coundt find a clue... only displacement. But the displacement map will affect directly my mesh, wich i do not want...
>>529385nobody uses bump maps anymore use normals
>>529389>look at my fanart and call me creative
>>529391Even if you are talking about bump maps, you could be talking about detail maps by updated extension?
this isn't 2005, use a normal map
>Bump mapsHello 2003
bump maps look fine, you guys have a weird perception of them because of your narrow view within games. games use normal maps much more mainly bc they are cheaper in engine. when shading for vfx its easier to blend and manipulate bump maps, even though they are older tech, so they are still used for some things.here's something that looks pretty good (not perfect obviously but besides the point), and it uses bump maps.
