Does v-ray have a glow maps?
All tutorials I see for v-ray glows invlove applying the light material to the entire object.

I want a character texture that has diffuse and glow.

i don't know if you can paint those directly, just look it up

vray is a render engine so you probably mean emission shader

Vray has a light material AND a self-illumination map slot in the default Vray Material, it's literally right under the diffuse slot.....
