I'm having a problem with spline modelling using a specific technique. I followed this video to each movement he makes. https://youtu.be/u8F1np7ivagAround the 1:00 to 1:30 mark is what I'm having an issue with. The cut definition he gets when finally applying the bevel from the splines. Can someone, prefereably with 3ds Max 2016, try to recreate what is in the video just so I can weed out what the issue is?
You can do all that stuff in max 2012 and even lower. Splines have never changed. He seems to have all separate shapes to make panels with whereas you have it all in one shape. Is that what you mean.
There it is with and without the modifier. It's all one shape.
