So tomorrow I am taking the second part to my animation class. Basically he told us that first day we will spend three hours working to "impress" him.

I fucked off most of the holiday break, with just now self teaching myself box modeling a human body. What are some easy/lazy ways to impress someone?

If so, the only thing to progress next is a form of a walk-cycle (considered basic exercise) but do several, drunk, fast, broken foot/leg etc.. you get the picture and then hit by bouncing ball and falls on face. Just block model/cyclinders stick man should do the job since its not about modeling.

Aren't you supposed to go to these classes to be taught by someone else?

I understand there's supposed to be homework, I understand you're supposed to already be doing it on your own because it's what you like to do, but when you say "I have only just begun teaching myself the fundamentals of 3D", what is even the point of the class?

And why are you making your own model if animation is what you're focusing on? In fact I would assume, not that I know first hand, that a class focused on animation would have everyone use the same base models (while discussing the important features of those models with respect to deformation) while you learn all the other shit that goes into great animation
