Hey /3/, I've found myself wanting to learn 3d modeling for a while now, I downloaded the free student version of Maya 2015, but can't seem to find any tutorials to teach me the basics without using programing slang and such. Help a noob out?

I'm showing you this tutorial for workflow, and basic guideline towards modelling/UV mapping. He's a senior 3d artist for Ubisoft, but uses 3ds Max instead of Maya. The principles remain the same, to give you a general idea.
