So I've just recently been fiddling with SFM models into maya (2013 only) and I noticed that some of the textures don't.... work. When I look at the texture file it's a vtf. What can I do with those files to make them.... less like this?

That's visual bug that maya has had for the past few versions or so, just creating a new perspective camera, or top side bottom, usually fix it and you wont see anymore z-fighting unless you go back to the original canera, hope this helps
tried making new camera's that didn't really seem to work.
download vtfedit, open the vtf files, and then export them as .png
what's your process for importing sfm models? is there a way to import the rigging, or do you have to re-rig in maya?
