So this is my take on a simple guitar in Maya with only simple bling materials.The render is from 2011 would like to here some critique.

Looks gud(in my opinion) but the 4 knobs there look a bit boring without any detail/markings on them.

Also I would have put a fake brand name on the end of the bridge(dont know what its called) in the very right upper corner and I would have tried different materials for the body(I like this yellowish wood with a black fade very much)

I like it
Though the texture is just a basic one right now.
To push it further I'd knock down the shininess add dust, scratches, ect to make it "real". The key to good textures is layering different amounts of wear Really just get reference of real guitars and see what type of wear they have, even right out of the box.
