I've just got to ask you, do you know how bump maps work? because bump maps are great if you aren't looking side on at it. Normals are what you'll want.

Bump maps are just the old verison of normals however they are still useful for certain things and could be applied to your weapon just i wouldn't recommend it.

Thank you, so could with the uv lay out, could i just put it into xnormals and get results, or would i have to make my own map with the rgb values premade?
