I've been trying to retopologize a model in maya for a long time, but it keeps crashing before I can get all the way thru. I save regularly, but when I open it back up, I can't figure out how to get back to resuming quad draw like I was before. The new quads don't snap to the verticies from last time. How do I fix this?
Maya is famously the biggest ram hog of all 3d apps.

Select the hi rez mesh - modify - make live.
Select low rez mesh - go to the modelling toolkit - quad draw. You can now carry on from where you last saved before it crashed.
